The Castle offers its guest's the experience of living like landed gentry and absolute luxury.
Dromoland Castle Hotel is one of Ireland's finest castle hotels. It is one of the few castle hotels that can trace its ownership back through history to Gaelic Irish families of royal heritage.
The Castle offers its guest's deluxe accommodations and the experience of living like landed gentry, surrounded by breathtaking scenery, absolute luxury and exceptional service.
Formerly the Castle library, the Cocktail Bar at the top of the main Gallery now provides the cosy setting for pleasures of a less literary nature. Open from 10.30am each morning, the bar is a restful haven for daytime refreshments, with tranquil lake views and a gently burning log fire. Candlelit by evening, Irish ballads provide the background for after-dinner drinks to complete your evening.
The Earl Of Thomond Restaurant offers a relaxed but elegant dining experience. Located on the ground floor, dinner can be enjoyed in an ambience enhanced by the soft music of the Castle's resident harpist. Enjoy breakfast, light lunch and dinner in this wonderful setting. The bill of fare includes a large a la carte menu, a daily 'table d'hôte' menu and a selection of gastronomic menus. Executive Chef McCann's approach is one of simplicity founded on his classical training using the freshest locally sourced ingredients.
The Fig Tree Restaurant offers a wonderful variety of dining, from 12 noon to 10pm. The menu and presentation have been created for more informal dining, in contrast to the award-winning Earl of Thomond Restaurant. |

"Our second honeymoon!"
We had returned to Dromoland for our ten year anniversary. It was just the way we remembered it to be. The staff greetest us with saying "Welcome Home" and that was just so true. The entire staff could not have been any more attentive to our requests and needs. Beginning with the doormen to waitstaff, housekeeping, health club and especially the front desk, for allowing us to stay when they were in a sold out capacity! There were so many more things that we discovered the second time there.
We are planning to return this fall and we are sure it will be as fabulous as the last two times.
Thank you!
