"Alpine comfort"
This hotel is comfortable, clean, with a wonderful swimming pool and charming friendly service. The food is also excellent. We liked it so much we plan to return at Christmas.

"Beautiful beautiful place - Alpine Lodge how you would imagine...."
We stayed here for one night in September 05 as a part of a driving holiday where we took in Milan, Lake Garda,Corsica, Monte Carlo & St Tropez.
We drove in to Les Houches from Geneva and the hotel was easily found and accessible, this was the most charming place you could imagine - I know its primarily a snow resort but in the summer the whole place just sparkles benath the pine trees and the glare of Mont Blanc.
The hotel was fabulous, as we were off peak they automatically upgraded us to a room looking beneath MonT Blanc (normally a charge applies for the view) and simply nothing can describe the feeling as you open your wooden shutter doors in the morning and let the sun shine into your room as you sit and watch the mist clear away from Mont Blanc and Glacier Des Bossons. Simply amazing - bearing in mind that we went to Milan et al, this was the place with the most appeal by a mile.
Chamonix itself is a gem but im glad we stayed in Les Houches and we're now considering taking our 1st skiing holiday here (despite its rather expert runs).
ps: take the cable car up to the top of Mont Blanc - check the ice grotto up there too. |
