A haven of peace.

The timbered Du Golf Barriere Hotel affords wonderful panoramic views of the sea and the Normandy landscape. This stunning art deco-style hotel dominates the scene, where colourful flags punctuate its 70 hectares of impeccably kept lawns. The accents here are on sport, with golf paramount � 54 challenging holes spread over acres of lush, green countryside.

After a testing round, retire to the Club House restaurant and bar, or back to the hotel itself to sample the fine cuisine of La Pommeraie restaurant and relax in the comfort of the beautifully appointed rooms. Other activities include horse riding, luxury shopping, cinema and boat trips.

LOCATION

Du Golf Barriere Hotel is located on top of Mount Canisy and is surrounded by a 27-hole golf course, with another 27-hole golf course 15km away at St. Julien. The shopping area, cafes and restaurants are only 3 km away (5 min by car). Deauville St. Gatien is 15 km.

* La Pommeraie:
Serving traditional regional cuisine from a seasonal � la carte menu. The high-ceilinged room with crystal chandeliers is decorated in an Art Deco style, with huge bay windows looking out over the surrounding countryside and to Deauville. A children�s menu and an extensive wine list are also available. Open daily for breakfast and dinner, with musical entertainment on Saturday.

* Le Green Bar:
After a tough round of golf, guests can sink into an armchair and unwind in this friendly, relaxed bar. D�cor is Art Deco and the view is of the 18th hole to Trouville in the distance.

* Although golf features prominently at this hotel, there is a choice of alternative activities, including an outdoor heated swimming pool, a sauna, a steam room, massages, tennis and cycling. Other attractions include the Health Centre, casino, theatre and cinema nearby.
