LOCATION
Established in 1879, the Eagle Mountain House Hotel was known for its hospitality to travelers, spectacular mountain setting and hearty farm fresh meals. This tradition lives on today in a casually elegant, yet relaxed historical setting for couples, families and group gatherings. The views from a 280-foot wraparound veranda are some of the best in the White Mountains!
Jackson is located along the border of Maine in New Hampshire's White Mountains surrounded by the nearly 800,000 acre White Mountain National Forest in the Northeast area of the state. Route 16 is nearby for North-South travel and Route 302 the closest for East-West travel.
In warmer months, many guests choose to frolic in nearby Jackson Falls just a short walk from the hotel. In winter, guests may cross-country ski from the front door. A favorite among outdoor enthusiasts, the inn is central to several downhill ski areas, man-made and natural attractions and activities.

* Choose casual bistro dining in Highfield's or enjoy lighter fare in the Eagle Landing Tavern which is also served on our 280 foot verandah overlooking the golf course and surrounding mountains in season. Country breakfast is available in Highfield’s daily and a Champagne Jazz Brunch is also served on Sunday. Every morning coffee and tea are available to guests outside the Tavern. In the afternoon cool or hot beverages are offered in the Eagle Landing Tavern.
* Come to Highfield's to enjoy everything you'd expect from a grand feast every Sunday, a tradition for over one hundred years. . Long winding tables filled with flowers and foods that may include Belgian waffles, poached salmon, Eggs Benedict, chilled shrimp, omelets made fresh-to-order, seasonal fruit, freshly baked pastries, desserts, and more. All deliciously savored and accompanied by a complimentary glass of champagne.
* The Tavern is a great place to meet with friends before and after dinner, or for a lighter meal. The menu of snacks, appetizers and signature sandwiches are served amongst memorabilia and old time photographs of "the Eagle" and the surrounding Jackson area. In season, the Tavern menu is also available for lunch and may be served on the expansive porch during warm months.
* Meeting rooms and banquet facilities are also available for up to 200 people making the Eagle Mountain House a favorite spot for weddings, family reunions and corporate gatherings alike. |

Eagle Mountain House Hotel has been updated but the charm and peacefulness is still there.
The scenery is magnificent. You could not want any more for that get away. The staff is as kind as can be. The food is good too.

Eagle Mountain House Hotel's breakfast was OK but they need to learn how to scramble eggs. The only thing missing in the room was tea/coffee facilities which was a shame but there was tea and coffee in the library and cookies to die for!
