"Excellent Hotel, great location"
Stayed at the Eaton in April for 5 nights. Loved this hotel. its in a fantastic location, walk to MTR Station, walk to markets, shops, everything! Very nice rooms, small of course but all Hong Kong hotels have small rooms I believe. Rooftop pool is lovely and the buffet breakfast (included) is to die for! Staff were very friendly and the hotel had a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the Eaton Hotel for 8 nights. We had two standard rooms booked and were prepared for a pretty small room based on reviews we had read but were presently surprised. We had 2 adjoining rooms between the 3 of us and had two single beds in each and found there was enough room on the floor for all our bags and our shopping. Although the standard rooms weren't flash, they were very clean, well presented and felt comfy. We loved the location of the Eaton. It was a couple of minutes walk from the Temple Street Market, which we frequented often for shopping. We also ate a few very cheap meals there and found the quality of the food to be great. The MTR and the bus stop was only a short walk away and it was easy to get to Tsim Sha Tsui, which is the main tourist area. We had breakfast in the hotel twice and would rate it as one of the best hotel breakfasts I have had. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially at the Concierge desk where they had a wealth of information regarding tours, sightseeing etc. We had a couple of nice swims in the heated pool and the gym looked very well equiped (although we didn't use it). I would definitely recommend the Eaton Hotel and would consider staying there again.

"All you need for a short trip to Hong Kong"
Just stayed here one night on a fleeting visit (2-day visit after a business trip to Singapore) to hit the shops. Never stayed here previously, though was impressed with sister hotel Langham Place in Mongkok when I stayed there this time last year. Obviously, the standard of hotel in Hong Kong is pretty good anyway (ie: what you get for what you paid is always much better value in Asia than elsewhere in the world). For Hong Kong, the standard room that I had was pretty small = for two people for more than 1 night it might get a bit crazy in there! Nice comfortable snuggly-pillowed bed, big plasma on the wall, dressing table/desk, nice cool radio alarm clock with ipod dock (looked cool but after 5 mins of trying to figure out how to use the alarm I gave up and used my phone). Compact but modern, tidy room with all the usual (shampoo etc). (dont get me wrong, have stayed in rooms half the size for twice the price in Paris, but you know what i mean...) Door staff and reception staff were really friendly and helpful (arent they all in Hong Kong?). It is an excellent stopover hotel - business or pleasure. Well kitted out for business (tho not wireless, had to plug latop in but it was really simple to get logged on) and excellently placed for pleasure. Its about 2 minutes walk from Jordan MTR station which is only 3 stops from Central = you get all the convenience of being in a very accessible location for everything in Hong Kong without paying HK island prices. Oh, and had the best pleasure/pain foot massage experience via hotel-provided service on 21st floor. Well worth it. Only drawback; pool is weeny and there's no spa. Foot massage was in a kind of communal lounge area. So, if you're going to mix shopping with chilling by the pool, this is not your hotel. But if you're going to mix shopping with getting out there and seeing everything Hong Kong has to offer while staying at a very comfortable, modern hotel in a good central location at a very reasonable price, you cant really go wrong with this hotel. (though I have to say, the Langham Place, which is more expensive - cant remember how much more - was also really lovely and does have the benefit of a lovely rooftop pool and spa - so if youre stuck between the two and budget can be pushed....! )
