Set in a splendid environment, Hotel Edda Nesjaskoli is adjacent to Vatnajokull, Europe’s largest glacier, which is 8,400 km² and covers about 8% of Iceland. The Hornafjordur local airport is nearby. Hornafjordur offers a variety of leisure activities. All services are available at Hofn.

During the summer, snowmobile trips are offered on the Skalafellsjokull glacier every day. The glacier can also be visited by snowcat, and ice-climbing trips are available. A variety of other options are offered for those who wish to see the glacier at first hand.
