Eisenhut Hotel consists of four patrician houses from the 12th and 18th centuries, furnished with select antiques and original artwork. The tophotel first consisted of three patrician houses of the 16th century and a small chapel of the 12th century, called St. Nicholas, which is now forming the main entrance and the reception hall of the building. After being occupied for a long time by the Winterbach, one of Rothenburg's most important families, it became first a small inn in 1876, before being definitely transformed into a hotel in 1924.

Today the hotel offers a unique combination of luxurious elegance and cosy atmosphere, providing the perfect setting for banquets, conferences and congresses as well as the ideal choice for leisure travellers.

"Nice place"
Spent the night after XMas at the Eisenhut after a week of skiing in Garmisch. It is a nice place. Able to fit my wife and I plus 3 kids into one room very comfortably. Restaurant looked a little stuffy and expensive for me and my kids, but there are plenty of restaurant options within walking distance. We had a fantastic dinner at the Burgerkellar just down the street. Hotel location is right in the center of town. It is a little pricey for those on a budget though.

"Customer Delight"
Customer satisfaction is a worthy goal, while Customer Delight is very difficult to achieve. I was delighted by this hotel! I spent 3 nights at the Eisenhut Hotel in Rothenberg during my 16 day driving vacation. It is exactly as described in Michelin and Frommer's and well deserves their high ratings. The staff was a joy. They always addressed me by name and worked hard to make sure I was comfortable and welcome. The restaurant is well laid out for both private conversation as well as meeting other guests and the food was quite delicious and well presented. The Eisenhut's method of marking my reservation at the dinner table was most pleasantly unique and the lounge pianist entertained with a wide range of music from American rock and folk to German classics. I very much felt like a visiting prince on this leg of my trip and thank the staff of the Eisenhut and people of Rothenberg and surrounding towns for the pleasure.

"Totally great!!!!!"
We had a fantastic time in Rothenburg while staying at the Eisenhut Hotel. The service was great and the meals were outstanding. Our hotel room was awsome with a hugh bath. The entire hotel made us feel that we were on the romantic road. We stayed 3 days and spent 2 full day in Rothenburg and then drove up to Wurtzburg. Lovely people everywhere. The shops we unique and enchanting and the museums were great - yes there were some buses - but its tourist time again in all great locations that's even more fun. We loved the Christmas shops and everything in the walled in city - especially the Eisenhut and its charm. Sorry we did not have more time in Germany.

"Capivating"
Enjoyed our visit thoroughly. Rothenberg is beyond description, just like a perfect village. It is so charming with the bavarian buildings, wonderful shops and fun eateries. Especially have some apple studel with coffee in the morning. The Einsenhut is a lovely hotel, plus we had an excellent dinner in their dining room that night. Great experience.

"A Superb Experience!"
My family had the distinct pleasure of booking 3 rooms at this hotel earlier this month and enjoyed every detail of this first-class property. Each room was unique in its layout and furnishings, and each boasted large, well-appointed bathrooms. Two of the rooms featured amazing views of the rolling countryside around the city. The property is located just off the main square (Marketplatz) and next door to the Christmas store. The hotel staff members were very attentive, and the general manager checked with us several times to ensure that everything was meeting our expectations. The piano bar was very comfortable and the wait staff excellent there as well. The included breakfast buffet was remarkable in both variety and quality. I cannot say enough good things about the Hotel Eisenhut and our stay in Rothenburg!

One awesome stay
Stayed at this hotel 5-7 November 2005. The employees were very helpful, friendly and courteous. The hotel was very clean and beautiful. The had valet parking for 9 euro a night and a great breakfast which was included. A definite place to stay!!!
