"Very Nice Contempory Hotel" As regular visitors to the Island I had my fingers crossed that the place was finished. We had stayed at calete de fuste last September and it was barely started then. On arrival I had to go back outside and check the sign as I thought I entered the Spanish branch of DFS !!!! Big leather sofas and over sized ornaments everywhere, very plush with a nice view across the pool the the sea from the lobby. The reception staff where polite, friendly and helpful as where the maids who never passed without saying "hola", the rooms where cleaned every day and towels changed etc as you would expectEnter away message text here. in a good 4 star hotel. The bedroom its self was a reasonable size with good air con,good storage, comfortable beds and a really nicely bathroom. A mini bar could be rented if you wanted one (I didn't). it had a nice LCD TV but only two channels BBC World and Eurosport. just enough to keep abreast of "Le Tour". However I didn't go on holiday to watch TV and would have gladly swapped this for tea making facilities. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis booked via expedia. There was the facility to upgrade to Half/ full board or All inclusive but as traveling the island checking out the many good restaurants is one of the main reasons for going to fuerte I didn't take the offer up. Breakfast itself was a buffet style with a very wide and varied selection of food but if you expecting a "Full English" your in the wrong place. We where one of only a hand full of English speaking guests in the hotel which was Great.( I only saw 1 football shirt the whole week). Some of the bar staff didn't speak very good English and they didn't always have change at the pool bar as most guests where staying A/I, but they never complained and we always got the drinks we wanted in the end. There are two pools and a jacuzzi for adults and a very nice kids pool set a short distance away with a play ground beside it . A great idea as you get peace and quite if you have no kids and you can relax if you do knowing there's little chance of toddlers wondering off. I can't really comment on the animation or entertainment as we never took part in any or used the hotel bar at night but as 90% of the guests where Spanish 9% German and 1% British I'd imagine it was mostly in Spanish. All in all we had a lovely weeks stay here My only very minor complaint was that the balcony was a bit small. N.B. check in is at 4pm so if your arriving on an early flight you might have to wait for your room.

Elba Carlota fanastic holydays" We stayed there for 2 weeks from 25th July 07, we were on our honeymoon. The hotel staff gave us free champagne as it was our honeymoon, the staff were all v. friendly and helpful with really good english. Pay no attention to any bad reviews of the place. Its great!! Food and drinks great, rooms great, lovely surroundings. Spotlessly clean. We have already booked to go back next year and are taking all our friends with us!!
