"cannot fault" can only speak as found-april 07,4 days,4 adults 2 in 30,s,2 60,s no complaints at all-very clean,both public areas and bedrooms,both couples had bedrooms at rear and were very very quiet,can imagine a bit noisier at front due to trams.good choice of just about everything for breakfast[we were b+b]. hotel drink prices very reasonable.would reccomend. prague beautiful-hotel handy for all attractions.plenty of good reasonable priced eateries.

"Pleasant in Prague" My main worry was that this would not be central, but it is. Maps of Prague give the impression that it is a larger city than it is. We walked everywhere. It's true that it is on the south edge of the most touristy part, on a busy street. The room was smallish but nice. We were immediately assailed by the smell of cigarette smoke, even though it was booked as a non-smoking room. We went back to the front desk, but were told that no others rooms were available in that class. The smell was not too bad, but disappointing. The room (#111) was on the side of the building, and quiet except for Saturday night, when drunken lunkheads staggered by outside banging stuff and shouting. One morning the maids were chattering loud and long in the corridor. The public areas seemed recently renovated. The breakfast was large and long (7-11): all sorts of meats and cheeses and smoked fish and fruit and cereals and breads and even tortes of various descriptions. Shower etc were fine, though the tiny single soap was used up daily. There were several numbered wireless networks. The front desk will give you the key. I found that I lost the connection frequently (had best luck with "Thalia 41") and had better luck when I tried to repair it than when I tried reconnecting to it or others.

"Excellent Hotel" I would just like to advise anyone who considers staying at this hotel they will be more than happy with the service and quality of workmanship gone into making this a very comfortable place to stay. I am not going to bang on about the rooms being amazing and the beds are comfortable etc etc,other people have commented on this already but I really do recommend it to everyone,in fact i am going to be staying there again in Jan 07... So impressed, "However" there is still some light maintenance work being undertaken on the stairwell between floor 0 and -0 which is where the restaraunt is.. But that aside it's a lovely place with a location that is just central to all the sights.

"Fantastic Hotel in Great Location" Booked the hotel with lastminute.com and was not disappointed. It is in the perfect location for sight seeing in Prague, close to Charles Bridge, the Castle and Wenceslas Square - no need for transport anywhere. Our room was on the second floor and very modern. Great finishing touches such as heated floor in the bathroom, dressing robes and slippers. Cleaners were great, they replenished the toiletries daily, which also meant a new toothbrush etc everyday!! The breakfast is fantastic, an amazing buffet each morning, from salmon, to scrambled eggs to chocolate cake. There was also fresh fruit and juices as well as typical british breakfast items too! The concierge are lovely and do all they can to help you with your stay, recommending restaurants and guiding you to them! We stayed B&B which was enough as there are so many restaurants around Prague! For a great restaurant and a lovely paella try El Centro - just over Charles bridge and down either the second or third street on the left! Enjoy!

"Perfect - Loved it!" We have just come back from 2 nights in Prague, it is a beautiful city with plenty to see and do and I cannot recommend the Thalia highly enough. What is there to say that hasn't already been said?! It is a lovely hotel in a perfect location, the breakfast was lovely and the staff so friendly and helpful, especially the porter who went well out of his way for us. I can't wait to go back to Prague and will be staying at the Thalia again.
