"Great hotel."
We stayed in 4 hotels throughout Thailand this trip, and the Evergreen Laurel was a breath of fresh air. Clean, quiet, professional, well-located, with a great breakfast and up-to-date bathrooms.
Highly recommended.

"My favorite in Bangkok"
I originally stumbled upon this hotel several years ago, looking through the in-flight magazine while flying EVA Airlines. When I found out that they have a discounted rate for EVA frequent fliers, that includes an upgrade to a suite, I tried it out.
This hotel is simply outstanding. It's elegant and refined and has a feeling of timeless class. The rooms are spacious and clean and the suite I've stayed in numerous times is quite luxurious. This is especially true of the bathrooms (I'll try to upload some pix).
Breakfast is wonderful and fairly elaborate, with enough variety to prevent boredom even after many days.
The pool is admittedly on the small side but I've never encountered a crowd and in general the feel is in keeping with the boutique nature of the hotel.
The hotel seems to be popular with (a) EVA flight crews, who are visible in all their greenedness (b) Older folks on group tours. The net result is that there is not a HINT of the seedier side of Bangkok at this place, which is in marked contrast to many other 5* hotels in the city.
The only downside is that the location is just a bit removed from Silom Road. However, it is right on Sathorn Road which is a major artery and so getting a taxi is convenient.
Highly recommended, especially if you are an EVA club member.
