"Best Holiday Inn ever"
This building dates from 1991, and was a Queens hotel, but this hotel was refurbished during x-mas 2005, and it is the best Holiday Inn I have ever stayed in, speaking of quality of the rooms. It is close to the Dusseldorf main train station, but on the wrong side. Rooms can be noisy because of the outside traffic, I checked 3 rooms before I got what I requested, a quiet room, to the 'innenhof'. Rooms may be facing a large crossing or the train station, so if you are i ligth sleeper, and get an outside room, this is not the hotel for you. My room was a comfort class room, and compared to Holiday Inn rooms in the US, this was more like a Hyatt Regency style.

"Exactly what I would expect of the Holiday Inn brand"
We stayed here for two nights while visiting Dusseldorf's Christmas markets. The hotel itself is modern, our room and bathroom were spotless and the furnishings looked brand new. Breakfast offered a good choice but on the Sunday morning at 10.00am we had to wait about 10-15 minutes for a table as it was so busy. On the Monday morning, however, at 6.30am we had the restaurant to ourselves! The hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the main station but a good 20 minute walk to the old town (Altstadt). Since it rained most of the time we just jumped on the tube at the main station and it is only 3 stops to the old town. Overall the hotel was functional, good value and comfortable and I would certainly stay here again. The standard was exactly what I would expect of a Holiday Inn.

"Great Hotel !"
Stayed at the Holiday Inn Duesseldorf Dec 15, 2006 and paid 75 Euros for 1 night. Hotel was in a good location, close to the train station and about a 20 minute walk to the city center area that hosts the Christmas Markets. The hotel had a pay garage but you can find (or make) a free spot outside the hotel. I was extremely pleased with hotel! It was very nice and well worth the price I paid and even a little more. The room was clean, modern, and quite big for a European hotel. Two thumbs up!
