"Thoroughly recommended"
The Fairmont Royal York's service was excellent and the facilities superb (particularly the spa). Our room on the 11th floor was fantastic and was a very good size. Development on the lakefront obscures most of the harbour views but the location of the Royal York is unbeatable and it really feels like the very hub of the city. Thoroughly recommended.

"a beautiful hotel, centrally located "
The Fairmont Royal York is a beautiful hotel, centrally located -- it seems everything is within walking distance! Hotel is elegant yet warm and inviting for families with children. Despite being right in the middle of Toronto, the roooms were almost magically quiet. The beds were very comfortable, too. Staff was professional and pleasant.

"Nice hotel, lovely service."
Charming hotel with old world design and interiors. Location excellent, near conference center and business district. Must admit though, little freaky at night and weekends when no one is around - also right across central train and bus station - the crowd is semi-suspicious at night. The rooms are lovely and the bathroom is well stocked with nice amentities. Pool and gym are the best parts about this hotel, especially since no one really uses it before 5pm, be careful after business hours though as the gym sells membership to nearby office workers and can get crowded. The restaurants are overpriced and not that good, go out and explore toronto - much better food there. Would stay again.

"Lovely hotel"
A beautiful hotel, with a gorgeous lobby and a very friendly staff. It was close to the subway, so it was very easy to get around the city. The hotel is connected to both the subway and an underground mall, which was accessible for food and shopping. The hotel's concierge staff was extremely helpful with my requests for information about local theater, dining and going to the gay neighborhood. The room was small but the bed was very comfortable.

"Great Hotel with Character"
My wife and I stayed at the Fairmont as part of a convention. The convention hotel was overbooked and we were put in this hotel. We were in a corner room with a single bed. The room was clean and well maintained. The hotel has great character. It is older but well kept. The location was convienent to Union Station for public transportation. During the stay the maid dropped my wife's curling iron. It had been broken at the airport and she profusely apologized. They offered to replace the iron but were told it was already broke. When we returned to the room they had given us a food tray and a hand-written note from the maids apologizing for breaking the iron and my wife being so nice about it. I was impressed. I would definately stay here again. We didn't have the gold or presidents club and still got a great room.

"Great place to stay!"
This hotel is beautiful!! It is in a great location and the staff could not be any better. We stayed for 3 nights with 2 kids and can say that we all loved this hotel. We have stayed in other luzury hotels in the past but have to say that the history and decor of this hotel put it among the best.
