"We definitely recommend this hotel" Falkensteiner Am Schottenfeld Hotel's breakfast was nice and the rooms were comfortable, clean and modern. It's a bit out of the city centre but the area is really quiet. We definitely recommend this hotel.

"Very good value for money " Falkensteiner Am Schottenfeld Hotel's staff where very polite and helpful. The breakfast was excellent with an incredible variety of foods to choose from. Our initial concern was that the hotel was not located right in the City centre, but in reality it was not very far and everything in Vienna was easily accessable from there. Very good value for money - we would definately stay there again.

"Good value/quality" This is a great little place. A bit of a designer interior but not pretentious. Located in the 7th District, A 7 minute taxi trip to the Opera. You can walk in fact to Mariahilferstrasse (shopping) in 7 minutes, then a further 10 minutes to the Opera. So a good location overall. Service is friendly and efficient. Rooms are clean, very fit for purpose, if not large. Attractive bathrooms and comfy beds. Overall very good hotel with a good value for money rating. HIghly recommended.

"Worth the stay for the breakfast buffet alone!" If you want to stay at a friendly, hip, yet unpretentious hotel on a quiet sidestreet in central Vienna, then this is for you! The staff is so accormmodating, that they allowed us to check in at 7:30 a.m. understanding that we'd been on a train the whole night before and arrived at 6a.m. that morning! They were also very helpful in giving local dining suggestions, info for local tours, and helping us translate confusing German-only websites (there's a computer set up w/internet for guests right by the front desk) so we could book other parts of our holiday. The room is rather stark and IKEA-ish looking, but spotless and large enough (they only give you two small-ish pillows, so I'd ask for others, if possible--- the bathroom is really excellent with attractive fittings, and a really good shower!! Although it was April, the weather was hot, and we were unable to get the room cooled down to the temp. we like-- however, the windows are easy to open/close, and the staff was more than happy to come up and adjust/help w/thermostat. The real surprise at this hotel was the extensive breakfast buffet which is included in the price of the room. We paid in excess of 25 Euros per person a few days later at a "fancy" hotel, which breakfast wasn't half as good. All I can say is, anything you might imagine you want for breakfast (in Vienna) they have, from elaborate chesse trays to a variety of cold meats, fresh rolls, croissant, hearty breads, sweet rolls, all manner of hot and cold cereals, fresh fruits and fruit salads, cold fish (smoked salmon and herring at least) spreads, and fresh juices, etc. Everyone here was friendly, friendly, friendly, and said hello to us at every turn. The only negative, was that we couldn't get the internet to work in our room (with our laptop) despite the fact that it's supposedly all wired up for free service. However, there is free wifi on the main floor, so we just brought the laptop down there, but would have been nicer to have it in the room. About 1 block away from a good tram that goes easily into the Museumplatz district.

"Simply Outstanding!!!" This was the highlight of our trip. Incredibly friendly staff, free computer with internet acces at the lobby, excellent location and very nice and clean rooms. The breakfast buffet is simply UINBELIEVABLY good. This hotel was actually cheap for what they had to offer. Overall, a wonderful experince in Vienna!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
