"Fabulous Wedding Party"
Very surprised to read the poor review previously. We have just had a wonderful stay at Fernie castle. It was my brother's wedding and we were all of the opinion that the hotel and all the staff looked after us tremendously well. We took over every room in the hotel and neither I or any of the family had any complaints about the accomodation. In particular the tree house was absolutely splendid, immaculately clean and a real 'original' feeling about it. I should also add that the service we encountered from the Laird and his manager Ashley was not in the slightest snooty. We found everyone to be exceptionally polite, friendly and professional. We will definitely make a return journey.

"Fantastic Fernie!"
We had our wedding booked at Fernie Castle for February of this year, but were very unsure what to do having read the reviews on Trip Advisor. Following a trip to Scotland in January, we made the decision to stick with Fernie as our wedding venue and we are both SO glad that we did. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff - they made sure everyone was happy and that the entire 2 nigth stay ran smoothly, even to the point of knowing the names of most of our guests by dinner on the first night! The food was great, both our evening meal and wedding breakfast were of a high standard. The castle itself was lovely, and even though it does require some work in places, we felt that the relaxed and informal atmostphere made our wedding day waht it was. If you are in the same situation that we were in back in January, thinking twice about Fernie after visiting this site, I can only tell you how our stay was just perfect.
