"amazing price"
The staff was incredibly helpful. The price was amazing. I don't know why anyone would pay more to stay at another place.

"great value at inexpensive price"
Having lived in Europe's poorest country for almost two years now, this place was great. The room was clean, the bathroom was clean, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The beds in the room were confortable, and we had an air conditioner and a tv in the room. There wasn't a lot of extra space, but we didn't need much even though we stayed there a week. The continental breakfast was excellent. While the hostel certainly isn't brand new, it's tastefully decorated and well-kept. It is located within easy walking distance to a number of metro stations and squares, and while it is not in the exact center of Athens (which also means its in a quieter part of town), you can get to all the major sites in less than 15min. We got much more than we could have asked for given the price.

June 2007
- Clean and reasonably priced 2 star hotel.
Central: 5 to 10 minutes walk to Victoria Sq. Metro station.
- The staff are very friendly and helpful.
- The aircon worked all the time without any problems.
- Basic breakfast but for the B&B price it’s worth-it.
- Lift worked.
- They have a bar and restaurant, but we didn’t use them so I cannot comment about those.
- Phone in the room worked fine.
I- also managed to connect to a free wi-fi spot from the hotel balcony – I couldn’t get a signal from the room.
Minor problems:
1) There was a slight problem with the drainage – slow to drain probably due to some blockage which caused water to overflow from a duct in the bathroom when having a shower.
2) One of the beds had missing /uneven wooden planks under the mattress – which we fixed by evening them out
3) The TV antenna was damaged – we fixed that ourselves.
4) The balcony door had a slight problem with the lock – didn’t have the tools to fix it but we were on the 5th floor so it didn’t bother us much.
5) There is some kind of Arab place going on right next door to the hotel – the type where people gather and smoke the shisha. I have nothing against Arabs, but once I had an unpleasant experience with one of the guys who was in this place. I was using the phone box in front of the hotel and one of these guys was banging on and kicking the box and insulting me – just because he couldn’t wait a couple of minutes until I finished my call. This phone box is constantly used by the people at this Arab place, so they might think that it belongs to them or something – don’t know.
Overall: Positive and worth-it for that price.
