"clean spartan quarters" the hotel is located in the heart of pratunam. it's highly accessible if you want to shop, shop and shop for inexpensive items in that area. the rooms are ok. clean, no frills. the beds were kinda uncomfortable but serviceable for resting and sleeping. the breakfast is the same everyday, but the good thing is that it came with the package. better than nothing, i guess. i think we got a good deal for the place. i'd stay there again if i go back to bangkok because it's cheap and serves its purpose.

"Cozy... like home" When my first sight outside the hotel.. it looks really old, but surprising I really like that location and the hotel. The room service staffs are hard working and they are very keen to help you to vaccum the floor or even setting up an extra bed. They is'nt any roaches in the room as i did not seen any through out my 6 day stay. One is true is that there is no kettle and even there is, i might not dare to use it too... as some how it is thailand, not singapore hotel. Well, bed is quite hard, but it still gave me a very pleasant & comfortable night including the soft pillow.. you will feel relax when you sleep on it and the location is not very noisy. The room is very big, however aircon is strong but we can just off it when we are cold, tv channel's show is great and we enjoy watching it every night... shows like... Big Mama II, Mummy I & II, and lots more to keep us awake the whole night. It has a bath tub in it too. There is no safe in the room but you can leave it in the safe at the recept, it is safer. Few steps to the 7-11 downstairs, massage & hair salon and behind the hotel is the famous Pratunam market. Walking distance to Platinum, IT Mall, and if you can walk.. you can reach the Isetan as well (this is what i did). Can also take tut-tut as they will be waiting just right at the door step of the hotel. Money changer is just opposite. We can shop and bring things back to hotel & shop again & very convenient hotel. That explain the motto of this hotel " The Ideal Home Away From Home". The elevator stated: Dum waiter bacause the lift can be hold. Thailand is really a land of smile... service staffs are friendly too. If i were to go again.... i will still choose this hotel. It is old but it is cozy..... I really recommand this hotel as it is cheap & good.

"Nice hotel, great location..." We went as a group of 7 people and found this hotel great. Its location is ideal and it offers great trips for Bangkok first timers like us (although slightly more expensive than outside outlets but safer all the same) . We stayed in the wing tower and had no problems. The hotel manager is friendly and the staff are also helpful. The rooms are cleaned regularly where we stayed (wing) and the restuarants and breakfast are good. We stayed in three hotels while staying in Thailand (2 in Bangkok) and this one left a good impression. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bangkok who would want to be in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city. I miss the First Hotel :-(
