"Forsterhof for a most comfortable holiday"
This is a most attractive hotel about 7 minutes walk from the centre of St. Wolfgang. The staff are excellent and the food cooked by Manfred (the owner) is first class. Recently an extra floor was added and the superior rooms are superb. We are shortly going for our third visit need I say more.

"What a wonderful place!"
When we walked into the Forsterhof Hotel for the first time I couldn't believe how lovely it was. The decor is traditional and cosy, yet clean and fresh. The bed rooms were spacious with a lovely light bathroom and everything in that you could want (except for a kettle!). It is a short walk into St Wolfgang (5 minutes), but the walk itself is interesting as you go over a small stream and past other lovely traditional hotels and houses. The area around the lake is spectacular, and the town is quaint, lively, friendly...can't describe how lovely! This is great for families

"Wonderful place"
This hotel is lovely! Really traditional and well appointed. Looks to be recently modernised. Bathroom and bedroom fittings were first class and spotlessly clean. All the staff are really frendly and attentive. The meals are wonderful too, evening meal always a huge choice, whoever wrote before that it was packet food, it's clearly changed since then. Huge salad range different every day and lots of roast meats / pasta / lasagna (gorgeous) / veggies etc. Breakfasts were good too but could do with a little more variation of the hot stuff as this was the same everday, still very good thou. Afternoon cake.....if your ever hungry enough after all that is lovely too. I challenge anyone to try nd avoid putting weight on the food is that good! Resort itself is great but some bar prices can be a bit steep, we presumed it would be more expensive in the center of town...not so actually the reverse! Loads of lovely walks and you have to take a little electric boat out to fully appreciate the beauty of this lake. Stunning, would definatley go back.....however there are so many nice little eateries in the town would probably go self catering next time to try them out more.
