LOCATION

Forte Village Resort Il Villaggio is an oasis of peace and relaxation nestled in a splendid 25-hectare lush, tropical garden, thanks to the microclimate along this brief tract of coastline. The temperate climate of all Sardinia is extremely mild, but the southern part of the island benefits from a truly extraordinary sub-tropical microclimate. T

he resort, shaded by tall pines, is protected from the cold winds of the North thanks to a chain of low mountains just up-country. Sardinia is called the pearl of the Mediterranean, but as well as being one of the most beautiful islands in the Mare Nostrum, it is one of the richest in history and tradition, in flavours and aromas.

* At Piazza Maria Luigia, the resort's social centre, guests can wander the arcades full of designer boutiques from Gucci to Bulgari, or simply relax with cocktails, watching the world go by and listening to live music.

* There are twelve bars scattered throughout the resort including the wine bars of the Piazza, as well as poolside and beach bars where guests can sample Normandy oysters in the Oyster Bar. The numerous dining options include fine dining by the sea, snacks by the pool, and a range of different cuisines including Italian, Sardinian, and Lebanese.

* Guests who love to dance can head for the Millennium nightclub in the evening, situated in the resort's Leisure Land area, which also offers go-karting, ice skating and bowling.
