"Great Hotel in a Magnificent Historic Building"
This is a great hotel housed in a magnificently renovated historic building in the heart of Budapest, right opposite the chain bridge and a short walk to Buda.
Service was good, the room was good (if a bit small) and the overall experience was very pleasant.
My favourite part of this hotel is the lobby area - the architecture is stunning.
I would stay there again.

"One of the most beautiful hotels"
An absolute dream! We stayed at the Gresham Palace for five nights. We could not have asked for a better experience. From the staff to the room, from the hotel's architecture and design to the restaurants and food - everything was perfect, flawless. Our room faced the Chain Bridge - a magical site at night!
The spa and gym are heavenly - a 3 or 4 foot high rectangular shaped pool (kind of like a box filled with water) with an infinity edge and modern gym and gym equipment.
Having lived in Budapest for five years in the early '90's and seeing the Palace in its prior neglected, down-trodden state to now, it's so transformational that it almost seems impossible what the Four Seasons has done. Kudos!
Even if you do not or cannot stay at the hotel, it's worth a visit.

"Gorgeous, perfect location, wonderful staff, luxurious, we loved it"
We absolutely loved and enjoyed this hotel. We had never stayed at a Four Seasons before, and were surprised to learn they could accommodate 4 of us (2 adults, 2 teenagers) in one very large room. The staff went far out of their way to ensure that our stay was enjoyable. The concierge were perfect and helpful. The hotel is fairly new, and we very much felt the pride of the staff in working there. The rooms and amenities were luxurious (clearly 5 star), and the lobby and public rooms are exquisite. We had breakfast in the casual restaurant every morning and the food and service were excellent. The location couldn't be better - it is directly in front of the Chain Bridge which is gorgeous both in the day and at night. We also used the spa which we very much enjoyed.
I will share an embarrassing, funny story about our stay, because the hotel staff were so wonderful in how they dealt with us. I fell asleep one night eating a little Godiva chocolate and when I woke up there was chocolate all over the sheets ! I was so embarrassed. We called housekeeping and insisted on paying for the sheets (which were magnificent, embroidered, probably 800 count). They would not let us pay for them, and were incredibly gracious about the way they handled this. The Gresham Palace is probably in our top 2 of places to stay in the world - and we travel often. Don't hesitate - this is the place to stay in Budapest !

"Flawless"
We stayed at the gresham palace for 2 nights in a deluxe twin. The hotel is flawless. The service is exceptional - extremely efficient yet understated. We booked a hotel car to pick us up from the airport and were met by a polite friendly driver who escorted us past the huge chaotic taxi queue and into an air-conditioned immaculate mercedes. The armrests had a bottle of water and a refreshing face cloth. Well worth the 65 euros.
Upon arrival the door staff greeted us by name and sorted out our bags. The staff at reception had our booking all in order and had given us a room with a view as we had requested. The lobby is beautiful and at this time of year looked amazingly festive - huge christmas trees and candles everywhere. Our room was perfect - not overly cluttered with furniture, just a large elegant room with quality furniture and an amazing bathroom. We had a roof terrace which we could see the royal palace from.
Breakfast the next day in our room arrived on the dot of 9 o'clock as ordered. The food was perfectly prepared, hot and exactly what we ordered. We ate in the cafe on the first night which was great. Food was good quality and again the service was perfect.
The hotel staff helped with anything we asked - booking a restaurant, organising taxis, changing money etc.
This is the best hotel I have stayed at. It is set in a beautiful imposing old palace, the service is excellent, the decor is extremely classy and the overall atmosphere is laid back and relaxed. The location is also perfect - 5 mins from the parliament on foot and 5 mins from the christmas markets.
