"An oasis in Las Vegas"
We've just returned from a 3 night stay at the Four Seasons which we'd booked as a splurge after 3 weeks touring the South West. We certainly made the right choice. Our room was on the 39th floor with the most amazing view of the Strip. The bed was the most comfortable we'd ever slept on, and everything about the room was so well thought out. Housekeeping service was impeccable - they even put my husband's razor on recharge when it got low. The toiletries (L'Occitane) were fab. We had all the facilities of the Mandalay Bay, but were able to retreat to our little oasis whenever we wanted peace and quiet. The Four Seasons pool is great - you are pampered from the minute you enter the complex, pitchers of iced water, popsicles, melon, sunglasses cleaned etc etc. We walked to the main MBay pool with the wave machine etc, but it just felt like a noisy beach club with booming music and we were glad to go back to our own little 'haven'.
It was the little touches that we liked so much - bottles of iced water in your car when the valet returns it and the offer of directions to wherever you are going. And the way they lay out the TV guide and remote control by your bed in the evening. My husband sent his boots to the shoeshine and they were returned by the morning, perfectly shined and individually wrapped in tissue paper!
The restaurants are great - you can use all Manadalay Bay's facilities and just charge it to your room.
One word of warning tho - if you suffer from vertigo you may want to give it a miss. All the windows are floor to ceiling, from the moment you step out of the lift, to the windows in the rooms. It takes a while to get used to it - particularly when you see the helicopters buzzing below you!
3 nights just wasn't enough!

"Extra Special in Every Way"
This was our second stay at the Four Seasons. Two years ago, for our 25th anniversary, we were upgraded to an 1,100 square foot suite by a kind young man at the front desk. Of course, it was unforgetable, and we were wondering if we would enjoy ourselves just as much this time, in our Standard room.
We were with my parents, who had never been to Las Vegas. I asked at the front desk for an upgrade and we were both given Premium rooms with views of the Strip. Our room, however, had a gurgling sink. Two engineers could not fix the problem. A call to the front desk provided us with another upgrade to a one bedroom suite (hard not to get used to!) The staff called us three times to make sure we were now comfortable. (The beds are heavenly!)
We were also provided dessert cake for our anniversary, but the next night, we were again provided with chocolate almonds for "our inconvenience."
The concierge helped with our tickets to La Reve at the Wynn. We also took many taxis, and never had a problem.
The quiet of the lobby-no loud casinos, no cigar smoke-coupled with the incomparable staff (and L'Occitane products) makes this our favorite place in Vegas.
PS-My parents said this was "a vacation of a lifetime!"
