"What they said"
Having just returned from ten days at the Four Seasons' properties in Budapest an Prague, I can confirm others' experiences of these wonderful hotels.
We were sick throughout our trip with raging colds. If you must be ill in a foreign city, there is no more comfortable place to recuperate than a Four Seasons. The staff is solicitous and friendly, without being obsequious.
BTW, for a highly reliable airport service, forget the $90 hotel ride. Try Prague Airport Shuttle [about $30 each way]. They have a website, [--]

"Full marks to the Four Seasons Prague"
We stayed at the Four seasons for a short break in February.
The airport transfers were faultless.
As others have noted the reception area of the hotel is small but this is hardly a problem. There was some work being done on this whilst we were there and we were told of this in advance, the work did not affect our stay at all.
We chose a One bedroom superior suite which was more than large enough and had a beautiful view over the river including the Charles Bridge and the Castle.
Prior to our stay the concierge made a number of restaurant reservations at our request and confirmed these via email and in writing upon our arrival.
We ate out the first night of our stay, despite the restaurant being highly commended by Zagat the fact that the hotel driver had never heard of it should have served as a warning! However although the meal was not sensational the staff were freindly and did their best.
We then had a meal off room service the next night and this as breakfast was well presented.
Breakfast is served with a toaster and the staff even offered to operate this for us, although in the end we felt we could manage this challenging task ourselves!
We ate in Allegro on our last night and have to say that the food in Allegro was of a very high standard, they also prepared a cake (unrequested) as this was a special occasion for us.
There is a lovely bar with excellent service however this was VERY quiet throughout our stay and consequently not a place we wished to spend much time. Perhaps at other times of year this is more populated.
Once again the Four Seasons experience was excellent and reinforced our decision to stay with this chain whenever there is a choice.

"Excellent"
Stayed in Four Seasons Prague during Christmas and in May 2007, this is a very impressive hotel and even I am Czech and I stay in Prague pretty often (at least twice a month) usually I do not stay there only when I want to get pampered. This is without a question the best hotel in Prague - location, service, amenities sense for detail nothing will be descraibed without superlatives. If you have a chance to stay there, DO IT, it is worth every penny. Small disadvantage when comparing to other 5stars hotel is an absence of pool, the gym is rather small.. But perfectly equippped and enough if you do not need to swim:) Check out the restaurant - Allegro.

"Location, Location, Location"
My husband and I arrived home last night after a lovely 2 night break at the Four Seasons over the bank holiday weekend.
Firastly, the booking was super- efficient - we only booked on Thursday and everything was done by e-mail. The concierge also arranged transfers and everything was confirmed in writing by e-mail.
Booking last - minute, we got a reasonable room rate which included full american cooked breakfast. The bedroom and marble bathroom were large and spotless; furnishings were of a good standard and the traditional look was consistent with the architecture of the building.
The location was fantastic, next to the Charles Bridge and we were able to walk to all the districts ,with no need to use the trams or taxis, although there were plenty of both close by.
We made a last- minute booking for a late dinner at the Allegro restaurant (Zagat -rated the best in the country) on Saturday night. We tried the gourmet tasting menu with wines by the glass, chosen by the sommelier as part of the package. Everything was lovely, with prices no more than we would pay in London or West Sussex, at a decent restaurant and the view from the terrace was wonderful - The Litttle Quarter and the castle ,all lit up at night.
The staff were the best thing about the hotel. Service was excellent, but not over the top. Jacob the waiter drew us a map of a locals guide to the hidden highlights of the city and we ended up on the roof terrace of the U Prince hotel ,having a cocktail and watching the sun set over the rooftops, on Sunday night, with an amazing view of the Old Square, in the Old Quarter (it's a bit more rough and ready than the bar at the 4 Seasons but the view is worth it.)
Yesterday, we had free use of the health club and showers, even though we had checked out - this was a welcome respite from the sightseeing, as our flight home was in the evening.
All in all, everyone was friendly and welcoming and keen for us to have a positive experience of the city and we made good use of the hotel facilities, even enjoying afternoon tea and cocktails in the bar, ( not at the same time!) where there is a very good pianist in the evenings.
The hotel had a family friendly policy and lots of people were there with children, of all ages . The Allegro restaurant also has a Kids menu. I would happily take my Kids there, on another visit. The atmosphere of the hotel is so calm and relaxing - we feel like we've had a week off work, not just a weekend.

"Fabulous but get the "view""
Perfect location. Exceptional service. Terrific food - restuarant and room service.
We were in a corner room with views of the Charles Bridge & Prague Castle. I can imagine that views with non-river views would be off-putting. You are surrounded by drab buildings on 3 sides.
Go with the bed & breakfast package. It is a much, much better deal.
All in all, one of my best European hotel stays.

"The best"
We are from South African and tavel to Europe on vacation each winter wanting to see different parts of Europe on each visit. This year we chose to spend some time in Prague and after much research, decided on the Four Seasons Hotel. Everything from the moment we were met at the airport was perfect. Outstanding service, outstanding location in Prague ( very close to all sights), very comfortable accomodation (albeit limited views). Dinner in the Allegro restaurant was a pricey but very special affair.
Would most definitely stay again and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel

"Great Hotel"
This hotel is great!!! I have stayed in many luxury hotels throughout the world and I can say that this one has something special. I spent a week-end in December with a friend of mine. The chauffeured mercedes S-class is a must!! It is not quite cheap though. The deluxe room was very large and very clean. The view was OK but nothing special. The breakfast is very expensive and you will not eat as much as you want unless you pay many extras (I had breakfast included package)
The concierge was very helpful in arranging special reservations and restaurants. Prague is a beautiful city. Will be back for sure.
To put it in a nutshell : Great but expensive hotel...

"Perfect Hotel for Prague!"
Amazing location within walking distance of everything you could want to do in Prague. Do not bother booking a more expensive room facing the river as you will spend little time in your room and it is not worth the money. Very nice breakfast and hotel staff very knowledgeable. We used the hotel car service to pick us up at airport and take us back - very good service and they can bill to room. Also, hotel staff will tell you that their restaurant is the best in Prague but we found many others that were truly superb around town and 1/4 the price! Save your money to buy crystal!!
