"Great location in heart of Reykjavik"
We chose Hotel Fron from an Icelandair package and with guidance from Trip Advisor, and couldn't have been happier with our choice. We were there the beginning of June. We had booked two apartment rooms for a family of four (parents and two teens) but we probably could have just used one apartment and a room, or else a two-bedroom apartment. The kitchenette was very handy but the best feature of Hotel Fron is the location. It was easy to walk everywhere in the city, which we did. There was construction going on while we were there, right outside our window, but all noise was during the day. The breakfast was adequate for the adults, a little less so for the teenagers but no complaints. For groceries check out the Bonus ( pink pig ) or the 10/11(convenience store) for pastries in the am.

"Excellent"
We had an excellent stay at Hotel Fron at the beginning of June. On checking in, our room was upgraded from a studio to a 1 bedroom apartment. This took the form of a small lounge/kitchenette, a small shower-room/toilet and a bedroom. The decor was fairly fresh in a basic but modern style. The TV channels included BBC1, which is useful during the world cup, and there was a decent sized fridge.

"Great Location and Price"
Wonderful week-long trip to Iceland. Overall Iceland is very expensive as most things need to be imported. Even the hotels are pricey. But, we found a nice hotel for moderate price with Hotel Fron. It's right on the main shopping street in downtown Reykjavik and you can walk just about anywhere. The location is ideal. Rooms were very clean and modern. Not huge, but spacious enough! Very satisfied with hotel. Was able to spend my vacation money on sightseeing rather than a very expensive hotel...
