The hotel operates since 1970 in Alimos, a suburb of the capital of Greece, only 8km from the centre of Athens.

The area that the hotel is situated in has the advantage of being very close and with an easy access to any attraction in Athens and yet, away from the busy centre.

Opposite the hotel, just in front of the sea there is a park where you can take a relaxing walk, let your children play in the newly built playground (one of the best in Athens) or even swim in the beach, which is only 50m from our premises.

Minimalist, elegant and along the beach, the well located Galaxy Hotel is in beautiful Alimos and has the advantage of being very close and easily accessible to the centre of Athens.

The hotel lobby reception and dining room are all very bright due to the extensive surrounding windows, giving a spacious and airy feel. The interior style has a minimalist decor with light oak wood flooring throughout, contemporary leather sofas and stylish lighting. Galaxy Hotel achieves elegance through simplicity. This style extends to the carefully appointed guestrooms.

The hotel has 46 rooms divided in 39 double rooms, 5 single rooms, 1 room for disabled person and 1 suite. Room facilities include air condition, balcony, mini bar, safe in room, hair dryer, shower, satellite TV, direct dial phone.
Most of the rooms have unlimited view to the Saronic Gulf and all have fully renovated in 2002.

Very close is also the Marina of Alimos, the largest marina in Greece to rent a sailing yacht and explore the beautiful sea of the Aegean and the world famous Greek islands.

The commercial area is only two minutes walk and you can find almost everything you will need. Hairdresser, dry cleaner, banks, shops etc.

During your stay with us we can arrange a guided sightseeing of Athens or a journey with a group to the center of Greece. Small daily cruises to the island close to Athens or even multi day cruise to Cyclades, Dodecanese and Turkey. After leaving the Athens Eleftherios Venizelos Airport drive in western direction towards Athens. The capital of Greece is of course well signposted and easy to be found. The hotel is located in the centre of town, so following the signs for centre will take you very near to the proximity of the hotel.

FROM ATHENS AIRPORT (ELEFTHERIOS VENIZELOS):
BY BUS:
No E96 (Bording outside the ARRIVALS TERMINAL between exits 4 and 5).

Every 20' (05:00 - 19:00)
Every 30' (19:00 - 20:30)
Every 40' (20:30 - 05:00)
- The ticket costs 3 and is valid for 24 hours for every means of public transportation (buses and Metro). You can only buy the ticket on the bus. Get off at the 3rd station Kalamaki. From there the hotel is about 50m walk.

FROM PIRAEUS:
BY BUS:
No: 101 - A1 - B1 (Get off at Kalamaki 3rd busstop).

FROM ATHENS CENTER:
BY UNDERGROUND(METRO)
Take line No2 and get off at Dafni station and from there bus No 103 or 141 and get off at the end of the route (about 4Km from Dafni) in Kalamaki (Alimos). The hotel is only one block away.

Driving Directions from the Primary Airport/Port to the Property:

By airplane
The Athens E. Venizelos international airport is approximately a 45-minute bus ride from the hotel. Take the airport Express Bus E 96 (exit number 4) and get off at the 3rd Kalamaki bus station, which lies just 50 metres from the hotel's entrance.
Upon leaving the airport take Attica road, the motorway that connects the airport to Athens. Turn on the junction for Koropi Markopoulo and follow the signs to Alimos. Drive along Vari Koropiou avenue to its end, where you will find a sign for Alimos. Turn right and you will reach Posidonos avenue. At the intersection with Kalamakiou street, you will find the hotel.

By boat
From Piraeus port a taxi service will connect quickly to the hotel. Taxis are easily found at the end of the wharf. Alternatively, take bus number 101, A1 or B1 and get off at the 3rd Kalamaki bus station.
The property is located on Posidonos Ave, the main avenue leading to Athens' centre and to Piraeus port. Upon leaving the harbour take Posidonos avenue, driving in the direction of South Attika.
