"Just Perfect"
We have just returned from our first stay at the Gleneagles. The hotel is in fantasic surroundings and we upgraded to a supereior room as this was for my partners birthday. We decided to stay here as we wanted to try Andrew Fairlie's magnificent restaurant. The room was really nice with great views and balcony, we loved the remote controlled lights curtains and even fire. The bar was really relaxing and the decor was beautiful, however nothing prepared us for the fantasic gastronmic delights that is Andew Fairlie's restaurant. It was absoutley wonderful and we loved it.

we recently spent three wonderful nights at this outstanding hotel. The drive into the hotel is fantastic and inside you are not disappointed. Our room was large , impressive with the most comfortable bed. Soft crisp clean dressing gowns with slippers awaited us . The views amazing.. The bathroom was huge with a free standing bath in the middle. So romantic. The food was fantastic - expensive but I dont mind paying for good quality. Service superb. Go and stay here is you want a romantic time . worth every penny...

"I could live here!"
I absolutely love this Hotel. My Husband and I first stayed here four years ago, the day after our wedding and before embarking on our Honeymoon to Zambia, Kenya and the Seycelles. What a start to the trip of a lifetime. We were, of course, staying in one of the luxurious Honeymoon suites and arrived in our room to find champagne, chocolates, fruit and free Whisky, Port and Sherry in decanters with a card of congratulations from the staff. Everything about the suite was perfect. We only stayed for two days, I wish it had been more. We have returned every year since, although in a more modest room and usually for about a week. We have always stayed in the main or "original" building with views over the Glen which are breathtaking. As soon as you make your booking you ABSOLUTELY MUST reserve a table in the award winning Andrew Fairlie restaurant, a truly wonderful experience not to be missed. Make use of the highly knowledgeable Sommelier who introduced us to some of the best wine we've ever tasted. The food was sublime and the service incredibly good. (Very difficult to get a table last-minute.) The Strathearn restaurant is also very good and they do a great job of making this enormous space seem intimate. I always make use of the fabulous Spa for a massage or facial and the pool is great. Pitch and putt, croquet, tennis, falconry and Horse riding are on offer if you're not Golf-crazy. It's always a pleasure to relax in the main bar and enjoy the 1930's decor, and I recommend the afternoon tea. Every member of staff is pleasant and highly professional. I love how the reception staff seem to remember us as though they see us all the time, not just one week of the year. It is this attention to detail which makes Gleneagles one of the best Hotels in the world.

"Number one of the 50 things to do before you die!"
I have visited Gleneagles on many occasions for leisure and buisness and every time I have been more than happy with the hotel the food, the staff, the golf and the rooms are brilliant but expensive. So if you have a large budget or if you are planning that once in a lifetime vacation it is one the 50 things to do before you die!

"Absolutely fabulous"
This was our third two day break at Gleneagles in the last three years. The breakfast is an experience in itself as teh choice and quality shouts out 5 star fare. We asked for an upgrade on arrival after being given a classic room on the fourth floor. All we can say is you should refuse to go up there as the rooms are tiny and the decor leaves a lot to be desired... more like 3 star than 5 star. After complaining we were moved to a fantastic estate room with views over the gardens to the golf courses. The room was exactly as the website portrays estate rooms and was pure luxury. The pools within the hotel are superb. The only complaint would be that the water is a bit too warm for serious swimming, but then again you go to this hotel for luxury!
