If you've gone a bit too large the night before or would simply like some peace and quiet, there's always the chillout areas where you can relax on cosy couches and enjoy your favourite book & chat to newly found friends.
* With a 24 hour licence, we offer a different drinks promotion every night. Better still, there's pool tables, large screen sports, arcade games, board games, fruit machines, live music and even a video jukebox. As you could imagine, its always crammed to the ceiling with plenty of party animals that are always up for a good time. Although we have fun themed nights with prizes and giveaways every fortnight, everyday is a party in the GloBEtroTTER bar! |

ROOM AMENITIES
* Each room has a personal reading light, privacy curtain and fresh clean linen when you check in. Choose from 4, 6 or 8 person rooms, single, or mixed sex and all non smoking. If you like, the hostel even has got double, twin and family rooms with ensuite bathrooms. |

"Best hostel in Europe!"
The Globetrotter Inn was our first stop in Europe, so we didn't realize just how great it was compared to most other hostels. It was affordable (36 GBP per night for a private room with private bathroom), clean, and provided many amenities that are hard to find at hostels elsewhere (internet, laundry, full kitchen, bike rentals, etc.etc.etc.). A (light) continental breakfast is also included in the cost.
The hostel is located on the outskirts of Edinburgh, so you have to take a bus back and forth to the city, but the area around the hostel makes the commute worthwhile. The coastline lies a few hundred yards from the back door of the Globetrotter, and farms with sheep and goats are just around the corner. If you stay here, you should definitely take time to walk around the hostel...it's beautiful!
