"Fabulous hotel "
Fabulous hotel and we would definitley stay here again. The staff are obliging and really couldn't do enough, they were friendly and welcoming. the welcome drink an excellent touch.

"A stay to remember"
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Ambra Palace. Friendly service from everyone we met (a special mention for 'Little Jimmy'), so helpful in explaining how to get around the City, very comfortable room with complimentary toiletries, the superb air conditioning was a Godsend given the humid conditions. Many people have commented on feeling uncomfortable with the location. This was our first (and not last) visit to Rome. People hang around the streets day & night all over the city, not just in this neighbourhood. We walked around the area between 10pm and midnight all the time and no one bothered us at all. You are more likely to be 'accosted' around the main tourist attractions. Do people have a problem with the ethnicity of the area? Great hotel, handy location.

"Convenient"
We were overall very pleased with this hotel. Very convenient for Termini (main rail station) and metro. We also walked to all the attractions and only took the metro to the Vatican. Area was a bit run down but don't be too concerned, we felt very safe there. Good market over the road. Hotel decor etc. was good, the only downside was a double bed with a dip in the middle due to single occupancy. Staff were helpful and there was a big choice at breakfast.

"The award winning Ambra Palace is a little gem"
I have just returned from a super overnight stay at this hotel..The staff were very welcoming and extremely helpful. The complimentary drinks and nibbles in the bar and free internet were nice touches. The room had good quality furniture and soft furnishings - tea/coffee making, satellite tv, internet connection, etc and the bathroom was huge with an outside window, lovely towels and ample soaps, shampoos etc. Included in the very reasonable rate is an excellent hot and cold buffet breakfast served at week ends between 7-11 am. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the main bus/train terminus and well placed for all sites. All the museums are free on the last Sunday of each month. There are plenty of reasonably priced excellent restaurants nearby but coffee is very expensive everywhere. If you arelucky enough, like we did, to get a very cheap flight from the UK, I would certainly highly recommend a stay at this lovely hotel.

"Crisp and Delicious!"
Rome's AMBRA PALACE was comfortable...crisp...where they paid attention to all details. The morning breakfast was "extensive" by European standards....juice, fresh fruit, sweets, eggs, bacon, cheeses, cereal, coffees and tea (and milk)! Staff was accomodating and attentive. I'd stay again...and again...and again! Walkable to Termini Station and Santa Maria Majore. Loved it!

"Best in Italy for us"
We were very impressed with the hotel. The double room was small but the bathroom was very large. The triple room we had was a good size. The staff was very helpful and attentive. They recommended restaurants and called to make reservations for us. There is a restaurant called CeCio that is about three blocks away that was excellent. It is only a few blocks from the main train station. Some people told us it was in a bad neighborhood but we did not have any problems and never were concerned. The neighborhood has Indian resturants and stores and I think that it is why it is wrongly described as not a good neighborhood. The breakfast was the best we had in Italy.
