"hotel was a 4* hotel"
Golden Tulip Bucharest Hotel was the most expensive place we stayed in Romania. The room was very small, but clearly the hotel was a 4* hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. |

"temporary home"
Golden Tulip Bucharest Hotel is an oasis of friendliness, effeciency and clear professionalsm.
Firstly, the hotel staff are fantastic. That's everyone from the Reception staff through to the domestic cleaners.
It's ideally placed for the trams (No16,40,34) and the metro. These are all literally outside the Hotel's front door.
In a City that lacks any true centre point the Golden Tulip Times is a great place to set up temporary home wheter you are a business traveller and for those simply visiting the City for a holiday.

"Gorgeous hotel, great location"
The Hotel Golden Tulip was the most expensive place we stayed in Romania. The room was very small, but clearly the hotel was a 4* hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. We walked everywhere, to the Palace, and the Arc! A computer is available in the lobby to check email free of charge. Based on how my body reacted 3 hours after eating dinner at the hotel, I think I got food poisoning (beware of the soft cheeses!) The only drawback to the stay!

"Great place to stay"
Martin Sullivan - Cheltenham, England
Stayed between 14 Feb 2007 and 19 Feb 2007
In what is often a souless capital city, although that should not deter anyone from travelling to Bucharest, The Golden Tulip Times is an oasis of friendliness, effeciency and clear professionalsm.
Firstly, the hotel staff are fantastic. That's everyone from the Reception staff through to the domestic cleaners. None of them can do enough for you, they are all trustworthy and above all very genuine people.
Bar is good and breakfast (hot buffet) is excellent and you can eat as much as you like (whoever cooks the scrambled egg deserves a pat on the back - always good)
The location of the hotel, although not within spitting distance of the City Centre sights, is very good. It's only about 2kms to Parliament Buildings/Palace etc, but that's no bad thing because it means you can detach yourself from the hustle and bustle of what is often a frantic City.
It's ideally placed for the trams (No16,40,34) and the metro. These are all literally outside the Hotel's front door.
Taxis are abundant and the hotel staff will gladly call a reputable one for you.
Hotel is easy to reach from both International and Banasea Airports.
Rooms are modern and even the standard room is very comfortable and well appointed.
Fantastic Greek Restraunt - El Greco - next door - and that's from omeone who has visited Greece twice a year for twenty years.
In a City that lacks any true centre point the Golden Tulip Times is a great place to set up temporary home wheter you are a business traveller and for those simply visiting the City for a holiday.

"Modern, elegant hotel"
When you are in Bucharest in February the cocoon that a hotel like this one provides can be a godsend, everything about it is designed to enable you to relax. I stayed in an executive room booked via Expedia, and it was great - low key furnishings, very comfortable bed, nice ambient lighting, and (importantly from a Brit's perspective!) free tea and coffee making facilities. There was also a pretty good view from the floor to ceiling windows. I would definitely stay here again.
