"Good hotel"
Great hotel. A bit cold, but the problem was solved imediately by the receptionist. Great location. Straight to the St. Stephan church. Friendly staff.

"Intermezzo Package"
I had a pleasant 3 night stay at the Graben Hotel from May 22-25, 2006. I was on the top floor, in a corner suite. The room was large, spacious and very clean. The breakfast was included and the food was good. My 3 nights stay gave me the opportunity to take advantage of a promo, the Intermezzo Package, which included a 3 course meal at the restaurant, and a 3 hour city tour that took you to visit Schonbrunn Palace - which is a must see for every tourist to Vienna.

"Loved the Graban"
My friend and I just got back from 2 nights in Vienna (and 3 in Prague). We were a little concerned on the way there since the reviews on this site about Hotel Graban were a bit varied. I have to say that were pleasantly surprised, would stay there again, and would recommend it to anyone traveling to Vienna.
Here's what we thought:
- nice, old, small hotel
- our room was small but neat and clean and more than adequate for two singles traveling together
- location was PERFECT, literally 100 yards from St. Stephans, 5 minutes from the Habsburg Palace, etc. We were never more than a 15 minute walk from anyplace we wanted to go in the city. The hotel is right off of the main shopping pedestrian-only street of Graban
- staff was more than helpful at all times
If you're going to be hanging out in your hotel room a lot, this hotel is not for you. But, if you are planning on site seeing and will only sleep and shower in the room (as we did) -- it's a perfect location.
