"Very good, centrally located, hotel" I stayed at the Bonavia for 2 nights in May 2005 and found it to be very comfortable and pleasant. My room on 3rd floor, opposite the lift (but suitably soundproofed) was quite spacious and comfortable. A small plate of biscuits had been left in the room upon my arrival which was a nice touch. The bathroom, albeit a little small, was well decorated with luxurious complimentary toiletries. Service in the hotel restaurant was a little slow but the food was very tasty and the waiting staff friendly. I found the hotel to be perfectly located for a business visit to Rijeka. It was very conveniently located near the port and offices I was visiting. There were also plenty of shops nearby to while away the odd spare half hour. I can find nothing to fault the hotel. I made a small comment about there being no safety mat inside the bath and received a full letter of explanation upon my return to the UK. They obviously know a thing or two about customer service!
