"Nice personal touch"
We came to Prague for our wedding anniversary that falls on the Christmas week (I noted the anniversary part in the reservation). The hotel staff gave us one of the best rooms with picturesque romantic view towards the Old Town Square and the Prague castle, but here is an unexpected nice personal touch: since we arrived by a transatlantic 7:55 am flight, and the standard check time is 12 and our room was not yet available, we were offered a smaller temporary room so we could rest until our room becomes available. Very nice accommodating touch - we immediately felt welcome! Especially in a country where as we discovered later, and in our opinion, customer service is just developing. The hotel staff was very helpful and attentive to our needs. We enjoyed our trip and would definitely recommend this hotel to others!

"Great Hotel - Elegant"
This hotel is elegant. Large lobby, beautiful dining room and bar. Our room was wonderful. Very comfortable with individual down comforters on a queen bed. The view was also great if you're on an upper floor. The food was good. The location was within walking distance to the main square and also shopping. We did a city tour, which I would not recommend for early a.m. or late afternoon, since we sat in traffic for at least 2/3 of the tour. Walking is the best. We walked over the St. Charles Bridge and did some sightseeing on the other side. This is a beautiful city. Watch where you eat. Get a translation of what your meal will cost in euros before you order. There were several of us ( groups who weren't with us) that felt we were overcharged by quite a bit. We were all tourists, though. We asked to see the manager, as did the others, and he was very rude and would do nothing about it. After the fact, I did read about this happening in some of the travel books.

"excellent choice"
This was recommended to us from 2 different couples who had stayed there in the past year and itr did not disappoint us. Everything you could want was at your fingertips. Very attentive staff, very clean rooms and the location was grand right in the center of the activities but enough off the path to keep the night noise to a minimum. Could highly recommend it. We did not eat in the resturant so I cannot comment on that.

"Great Choice. Just lovely."
Great location: easy walk to the Old Town Square and the Charles Bridge.Rooms were small but with lovely appointments. Service was great and the folks at the desk were really helpful with everyday tourist questions as well as opera and concert bookings. Terrific breakfast in beautiful dining room. Nice bar. Couldn't ask for more. Really got our money's worth at under $200 a night.

"Great location"
Great location so close to old town square. Prague was roasting hot so it was great to pop back to our air conditioned room to cool down in the heat of the day. Comfy beds, good bath, dressing gowns and a phone in the bath room. Would definitely stay here again

"perfect location"
My sister and I have just enjoyed 4 days at the Grand Bohemia. The staff were charming and helpful and the breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Above all the location was perfect - just an easy 5 minute stroll to the Old Town Square which was a major consideration as I have some walking difficulties. As we were keen to go to the opera, it could not have been better placed. I booked the room through a website offering the 4th night free which was a bonus and we had a room on the 7th floor which was small but with all mod cons - very contemporary in design which I wasn't expecting in that part of Europe. The website Pragueexperience is very useful particularly their selection of restaurants. As it was hot in July we had a wonderful meal at the Hergatova Cihelna restaurant (the other side of Charles Bridge from Old Town) wher you sit on a terrace overlooking the river - fab food (tiger prawn starter was divine)and worth every penny for a special dinner. You must book though. We enjoyed a good value meal at 7 Angels and the food is reasonable at Staromecek restaurant but we were stung by the cost of the wine. We asked for half a bottle of local red wine and foolishly didn't look at the price of the one the waiter suggested- it cost us £19! Other than that we loved Prague.

"Loved Prague, great location"
Grand Hotel Bohemia is in a fantastic location; walk to all including the Astonomical Clock and restaurants, yet off to the side so it is quiet. The rooms are simple, clean and on the small side. One travel book we read described the rooms as enormous, but we didn't find that to be true. The lobby and restaurant are elegant and lovely. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast each morning; lots of choices. You do have to stay on top of them if you order anything specially prepared as they forget about the order. The staff is helpful regarding suggestions for dinner. Housekeeping was a little remiss and we searched for them for fresh towels after they only partially made up the room. Overall we would recommend this hotel for Prague; good value for your money and the location cannot be beat.

"Fantastic Hotel"
Have just returned from a 3 night break at the Grand Hotel Bohemia. It was our first stay in Prague and would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of visiting the city. Its position is excellent, being very close to the beautiful Old Square and directly opposite the Belgian Chocolate Shop! We had a package at the hotel which included an upgrade to a wonderful suite on the top floor, overlooking the rooftops of the capital; a taxi to and from the airport; complimentary wine and water in the room; tickets for a concert; a 3 course meal in the hotel and a 3 day travel pass. Excellent value. The hotel itself was spotless and wonderfully appointed. The staff very accommodating, nothing was too much trouble and the restaurant food excellent. Overall, we couldn't fault it.

"Elegant hotel at resonable price"
I was at Bohemia hotel in March 2005. I found it PERFECT. The hotel is elegant, clean, the breakfast is huge with cakes, pastries, ham, cheese and also a glass of champagne. The location is good, only 5 minutes by walking (real 5 minutes) to the main square. The rooms are pretty, clean, spacious and silent with the facilities of every great hotel. There aren't swimming pool and gym but if you go to visit the Praha in a weekend you don't need it. Internet price was 110 euros for a night in double room . A very good price for a 4 stars hotel in the middle of the town. Sorry, for my bad english! bye!
