"Great location"
We are just back from a short stay in this hotel with its entrance on Place du Capitole. Great location for shopping, restaurants etc. Don't miss lunch on the first floor of the Victor Hugo market if you want to eat well and cheaply with the locals. We had paid for a superior double room which was well furnished although the bathroom could have been larger. Breakfast included cereals, fruit, ham and cheese as well as a selection of breads and croissants. Hot food was limited with boiled eggs and omlettes available on request. We asked for omlettes the first morning and were asked if we were sure we would not prefer the streaky bacon and scrambled eggs which looked like they'd been there for a few hours. We did get the omlettes with a smile though. The amount of food available seemed very little for the size of the hotel but that may have been due to people booking on a room only basis as we met very few in the dining room. Separate room with internet access and printing available at charge. Brasserie was very popular but we did not have time this trip to try it or the leisure area. Staff we helpful and pleasant.

"Lived up to all our expectations"
I've been visiting Toulouse regularly for the best part of ten years and on most trips make a point of having lunch in the Brasserie attached the hotel. On this trip, I had my first opportunity to stay in the hotel itself. My wife and I found the staff to be polite, courteous and efficient. When we asked to move room - the guy immediately above us would pace the wooden floor for half an hour at a time at regular intervals throughout the night - we were moved without fuss to a quieter room. And relaxing over a late night bottle of champagne in the hotel bar (where we were the only customers) we found ourselves under no pressure to hurry up and vacate the bar. The rooms themselves were very well presented, with lovely curtains and dark red colour schemes, and unlike the previous reviewer I recall seeing a room service menu - pricey, but then it always is in hotels of this grade. Besides, the hotel boasts both the wonderful Brasserie I mentioned above and the Jardins de L'Opera (Toulouse's best restaurant), and is within yards of all the restaurants immediately outside on Place du Capitole. A wonderful hotel, and we'll certainly stay there again.

"A great hotel with great service."
We stayed at the Grand Hotel Opera in Toulouse in August for our first wedding anniversary. The hotel was wonderful, nice plush room, very quiet with fantastic air conditioning. The location is excellent, right in the middle of Toulouse. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and freindly. Valet parking was good too. A lovely stay in a great hotel. We would definitely return! Well recommended.

"great hotel for the price"
Well, stayed here last year had a room which was more of a suite for the bargain price of around €130 more or less. Very french colonial and elegant the staff were friendly location is excellent. All in all one of the best hotels I've stayed in for the price we paid. Would definately recommend
