"A great stopover"
We stopped over at the Grand on our way to and from Tuscany and were very pleased with almost everything. Although no view of the lake, the bedroom was air conditioned and the bed huge giving us the best sleep for years. The breakfast served in our room in the mornings was superb. Only downside was the charge for the underground car park which at 15 euros we thought excessive, but at least the car was as secure as it could be. Outside parking was available but not easy to find a space. Also we couldn't eat in the restaurant until 7.30pm but the food was worth waiting for. We thought it was good value for the money and a visit is recommended.

"On a hot summers day the air was crisp"
We went their by accident when a storm delayed our plane for a day. The elegance of a classic hotel without the disadvantages of an old hotel. The rooms were fabulous with the silk murals and big soft beds. The air was crisp and chilly as you walked across the garden. The food was simple and classic without being pompous and heavy.

"Italian hospitality at it's finest"
After having stayed at two 5 star resorts in Spain, our expectations were not too high upon our arrival in Lake Como. How wrong we were! Immediately upon our entrance into the Hotel we were greeted as old friends and it never stopped during our four day stay. Our room was as spacious as any previously occupied, the proximity to the Lake and the water taxi stop afive minute walk, the food and service in their restaurant superb, but most of all, their personnel all made us feel as honored guests.I take pleasure in recommending this Hotel to everyone.
