"Nice Hotel"
The Gallia et Londres is one of the nicest hotels that I have stayed in. The staff for the most part were very helpful and did what ever they could to make your stay comfortable.
The room was spotless upon arrival and kept that way during my whole stay. The best feature of the hotel has to be it's location. You are only a 3 minute walk for the Sanctuaries and there are many nice and inexpensive food establishments within a short walking distance.
I would not hesitate to stay here again.

"Good hotel, great for the Grotto"
We stayed at the Gallia et Londres on Sept 14 for one night. The location is very close to the Grotto (200 metres or so). My wife felt perfectly safe walking to the Grotto on her own at night. The room was as shown on their website. We had a room overlooking the street leading to the Grotto. It was noisy when the windows were open but quiet when closed. Couldn't get the AC to work but think I was doing something wrong. The room was very clean and my wife was impressed with the large size of the bathroom. Much larger than we had seen at any other European hotel. TV was small with about 11 channels and mounted high up on the wall. English was not widely spoken from my little exposure to the staff but that should not be expected, I am in France not England or the US. They did their best to communicate with me between my French and their English. Definitely would stay their again if we return, I don't think that you can go too wrong.

"Old World France"
This hotel was the nicest one I have ever stayed in- really old world French. Wooden starway, molded wood banister, wrought iron elevator. Breakfast and dinner are served in a beautiful dining room. We had balconies outside of the bedroom and bathroom overlooking the Shrine Grounds and could hear the bells and prayers in procession. Beautiful blue carpet with gold stars, gilded bed and walls.
