LOCATION

Grand Hotel Praha is directly located in Old Town Square (Staromestske Namesti) in historic city centre of Prague. Opposite the hotel is the Astronomical Clock, mounted on the tower of Old Town Hall. This medieval clock is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Prague and designed and constructed during 14th and 15th centuries. The other wonderful historic buildings situated on Old Town Square are, St. Nicholas Church and Church of Our Lady in front of Tyn. In the middle of the square stands the Jan Hus Memorial, a huge statue of a Czech religious philosopher. Charles Bridge is located within a 5–10 minute walk of Old Town Square.

On your way from Old Town Square to Wenceslas Square, you may like to visit Estates Theatre, where the premier of Mozart’s world-famous opera Don Giovanni took place in 1787. Wenceslas Square is a long boulevard surrounded by shops, restaurants and bars. National Museum and State Opera are located on southeast end of this boulevard as well
