"Grand by name and nature."
The only thing remotely bad about this hotel is the price. I would never have been able to afford to stay there had I not been sent there on business. Don't let the outside appearance of the hotel fool you: it truly is grand inside, with marble steps, fine furnishings, sound-proofed rooms. Above all, friendly, multi-lingual staff and cleaners who always seem to be on duty. I had a wonderful time and I recommend this hotel highly.

"Very impressive!"
We stayed at the Grand Hotel Sitea for 3 nights in May 2005 at 155 Euro per night. To be honest, we weren't expecting much - but we were extremely impressed. The room was one of the largest we've experiencd in Europe (having been to over 20 European countries - all 4 star hotels). The staff were very friendly and importantly, the reception staff spoke fairly good english. Internet is provided in the lobby area free of charge. Breakfast was included - this was fine, nothing to write home about but considering it was inclusive we were happy! We ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was lovely. We rang in advance and were able to secure a car parking space with the hotel free of charge (they only have 5 or 6 spaces so you must get in early!). The location is brilliant - you're in the midst of the main shopping area/cafes etc and only a 10 minute walk from the main train station. If I could find a negative it would be the pressing service. We requested an iron and were told that the hotel do not give irons to rooms (we should've remembered this from past visits to Italy!). However, they kindly offerred to press our clothes for us and we stupidly accepted without asking if there was a fee. On checkout, we were charged over 50 Euro's!!! We didn't complain though as it was just as much our fault for not asking if there was a charge. Overall, a fantastic hotel - great rooms, great service, great location.

"Excellent Service"
My husband and I stayed in this hotel on our way back from a ski trip. Travelling with us was our one year old son. The staff in the hotel could not have been more helpful with him, they arranged a crib, high chair etc and gave us a larger room in order to accomodate him. Our impression was of an excellent hotel and I would reinforce the views of previous reviewers in recomending it.
