excellent hotel
The area of Lake Bled is the most stunning and romantic place you could ever imagine. We stayed at the Toplice over Christmas and New Year last year and would certainly return.
The main problem you may find, if like us, you are in Slovenia for a skiing holiday, then it is quite a long (and windy) bus ride every day to get to the slopes. However we felt that it was worth it to stay in such a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting.
The food was superb, Staff were so friendly, helpful and professional. The restaurant, lounge, spa area and reception etc were very luxurious and definately a very good 5 star standard.
The rooms were nicely decorated in a traditional Slovenian style, if a little on the small side, and I would definately recommend upgrading to a lake view room. (The view over the lake and of the castle is breathtaking).
Overall, we were very impressed with the hotel and after seeing some of the others in Bled, it is by far the most luxurious.
