Wouldn't stay here again!
There is no beach to swim on- it's full of big sharp rocks. So if you want some beach, don't go to this hotel. The pools are ok, water was at times very dirty and the pool bars aren't very good either. Make sure you use your GRAND bars and pools, not the Oasis ones because that makes a HUGE difference. We were there at the end of April, but the hotel was still packed with college kids. They advertise having a lot of activities, but the only ones they had during our stay were water-aerobics (which was a joke) and bingo. I don't know where they were supposed to have all the other ones... No salsa lessons, cooking or cocktail-making like they advertised. Breakfast was amazing, better than in many other resorts! (Again, make sure you have your breakfast at the GRAND buffet) The Mexican Gourmet A la Carte restaurant was nice, lots of seafood but also couple of meat and chicken dishes. The free house wine was terrible, so if you're a wine drinker you might wanna bring your own bottles, otherwise you pay about 30 dollars a bottle. They don't make any special drinks, and if you want "better" alcohol you have to pay extra. I've always gotten Mohitos or Caipirinhas at all-inclusive resorts, but don't even dream about having those here. Bring earplugs, we upgraded to the pyramid but there was still lot of noise at night. I don't know whether the upgrade was worth it, because we never saw the the other rooms. The overall experience was ok but I still wouldn't recommend this hotel for a friend. This place is good for college kids, but definitely not for families or for romantic getaways. We were a group of four friends in our mid-twenties.
