Great Weekend
I was very pleased with the Grand Sierra Hotel and Casino. It is not on the strip, but it has everything that you need for entertainment and food. They have a great happy hour where women drink for free and there club peral was fun and big.

My Vacation Experience
Oct 13, 2008 King size bed uncomfortable and short sheeted so that the flat mattress pad and bottom sheet were up around our knees and our feet on bare mattress; bed uncomfortable and pillows so old they are completely flat; towels are very rough and mildew grows in the grout in the shower/tub,floors not mopped. No security cameras working in hallway; no good system of switchboard telephone records (if there is a system). Woman day manager way over her head; we travel every other month and this is the WORST experience we've had. Motel 6 is better. PS the comps are only good if you live in the area.

Chic rooms...
I stayed in Grand Sierra Resort Hotel for three night and I found it a little bit expensive. My room was great with king size bed and comfortable linens, a big plasma TV and an LCD TV in the bathroom, a fridge and microwave, upgraded furniture but I did not like the room service. But it's normal to have some faults, since the hotel was so crowded at that time. The hotel has a huge dining area, serving breakfast with fabulous choices of cold meats and cheese. Over all, Grand Sierra Resort Hotel was a nice experience.

Decent room, but pricey
The rooms were clean and service was good. For the money, though, an online discount at Circus-Circus or the Sands gives you the same quality for less. The Grand Canyon Buffet is well stocked and had fresh squeezed OJ. The hotel is isolated from the main cluster downtown, so you have a bit of a drive to reach the museums and main drag of Reno.
