"Lovely Hotel" We visited the hotel for a romantic weekend away in February 05 and were not disappointed. The hotel more than met our expectations. Some parts of the hotel are rather old fashioned but some areas did look like they were about to be refurbished. This did not take anything away from our stay however. The room we stayed in was large and spacious and had a lovely view of the gardens which I expect would be even better in the summer. The restaurant was lovely with a great menu selection, great service and great tasting food as was the food served in the bar. Never seen good food arrive so quickly. We also made good use of the pool and sauna which were suprisingly quiet. This hotel is ideally situtated for travellers who want to visit Edinburgh, Stirling or Glasgow or just the surrounding area. We also booked curling lessons through the Hotel for during our stay (rink attached to hotel). A very enjoyable afternoon was spent on the rink - a must try if/when you stay there. Have recommended this hotel to friends and wouldn't hesitate to visit again.
