"as lovely, beautiful clean, modern"
Grupotel Gravina was lovely, beautiful clean, modern, rooms and bathrooms and our room overlooked the street and had a balcony. Only complaints would be the beds, they were as hard as rocks and my side went numb during the night.
It was good having free internet access and worth waiting for on the odd occasion I had to. Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast buffet had a great choice and there was plenty to go around. The restaurant evening meal was very nice and very reasonably priced.

"Very quite for a hotel in Barcelona "
Grupotel Gravina is a nice hotel very near to Place Catalunya and very convenient for Las Ramblas. Very quite for a hotel in Barcelona mainly due to location.

"Great hotel and location"
After spending a long time searching for the right hotel in Barcelona, I deceded to choose this one due to the positive reviews of its location and standard for a 3 star hotel.
Staff are friendly and welcoming the location is down a side street and only a 5 minute walk from the Ramblas, and the main subway station at Placa de Catalunya. The room was of a fair size with a terrace and a nice clean bathroom.
The breakfast is good with a wide choice of cheese, meats, fruits, juices, pastries, cereals and a cooked breakfast. Great to start you off on your day!!
If we were to return to Barcelona we would definately stay here again

"Charm and Character, with a classy lobby"
When I arrived at this hotel, I thought it was quite elegant. The exterior stone work was elaborate, and up kept. Inside, marble and clean lines. I was immediately impressed.
The lobby looked like it could be part of New York. Sleek, and clean, yet inviting. Past that, the hotel picked up some charm, with its painted wood trim.
My room, and the neighbouring rooms were all similar. The rooms were tight, but space is always a premium in large cities. The bathrooms is where they blew the budget. New marble everything.
The breakfast the next morning was elaborate, and the setting was modern and clean. I enjoyed this aspect very much.

"A nice surprise"
I booked this hotel on the hotels web-site after reading other reviews here on the Tripadvisor pages. The Grupotel Gravina Hotel (not H10 any more) was a great 3 star hotel. The hotel is situated a three minute walk from Pl. Universitat and five minutes by foot to Pl.Catalunya at the top of the Rambla.
The room included a minibar, a big bathroom compared to other European hotels, a kettle (although you had to buy your teabags or coffee at the hotel bar if you did not nick any at breakfast), and a wardrobe. We had a double bed that was a bit hard, but I slept very well.
Our room was in the newer part of the hotel, Gravina II, but you had to walk a long way to get there. First into a lift, up two floors, turn right, up a small staircase, turn left, then right, another lift up two more floor and then to the right again. No problem for us, but not great if you are carrying a lot of baggage, a pushchair or whining children.
The staff was very helpful. They spoke good English, recommended good restaurants (Celler Tapas one block up was a good choice) and the room was very clean. Breakfast also very good with a good variety of hot and cold food and cakes.
Conclusion; A very good experience. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and colleagues.

"Wow, what a treasure"
Just returned from a 1 night stay at this hotel with Husband and 2 pre-teens for the Barca vs. Liverpool football match. We booked on the internet last minute and were guarenteed adjoining rooms by the hotel.
Firstly, the location is fantastic - 5 mins to Las Ramblas/Placa Catalunya and transport to all major sites. The hotel has a contemporary boutique feel about it and is very well maintained. Room facilities were excellent - mini bar, trouser press, hairdryer plus coffee/tea making, safe (2 Euros per day) and plenty of wardrobe space. The bathroom was floor to ceiling marble and had complimentary toiletries. We arrived 2 hours prior to the actual check in time and our room was ready for us! We were allocated a 2 bedroom suite with balconies overlooking a busy street but with no noise unless the balcony doors were open. Far exceeded our expectations.
The breakfast was fantastic with plenty of hot & cold choices.
We are a well-travelled family and would not hesitate to recommend this place for any length of stay and will definitely stay here again. Barcelona is a beautiful city and easy to get around.
All in all - Great service, great location and great value for money. A real treasure....

"Wonderful hotel"
We've just come back from a 4-night stay at the Gravina and have to say it was a memorable experience.
The staff were excellent, friendly and accomodating, and went out of their way a number of times.
We were in a sixth floor room in Gravina 2 (620) which had its own balcony that we made full use of. The room was at the end of the corridor which meant it was quiet and plenty big enough for our needs. It was cleaned daily - in fact the whole hotel was pretty spotless.
The location of the hotel is ideal and very close to the tube stations, but equally in easy walking distance of Las Ramblas and many other attractions - and of course there are loads of them in Barca. It was easy to wander out of the hotel at night time too, and it was certainly safe.
We'd recommend a visit to the Sagrada Familia and the Magic Fountain - they were amongst the highlights of our trip. Also Pi square was pretty cool and a great place to chill out.
Avoid - the Port Olimpic area for food, unless you want to get chaved up and watch Brits abroad! This wasn't our taste, as was the paella down there!
We did eat well at Biocenter on Carrer Pintor Fortuny, and Mama Cafe on Doctor Dou. (And only one of us was a vegetarian - both were equally excellent.)
We had no problems with pickpockets, and we found almost everyone to be very friendly.

"The great champagne welcome"
I have stayed in many hotels in and around Barcelona and this was by far the best yet. Remarkable service, great charm and helpful staff at the front desk. Clean rooms with great maid service. The bedding could use an upgrade. A little thin for my tastes. Good location walking distance for tourist attractions and lots of great bars and restaurants just around the corner. The champagne welcome was a nice touch. Very helpful English speaking concierge as well.

"Wonderful Small Hotel"
We stayed at this hotel for 3 days in late September and were very impressed. First, the staff were all exceedingly courteous and friendly. They were always happy to answer questions, and even allowed us a late check-out of 2pm. There are two teensy tiny elevators, which can only only fit 2 people.
The room we had was in the main hotel on the back of the top floor (5). Very quiet, though not much of a view. The street the hotel is located on is only 1 block long, so even front facing rooms would be quiet at night. Our room contained 2 twin beds pushed against each other, along with a desk, then a small separate sitting area with a sofa and coffee table, along with a full closet. The bathroom was all marble. The shower had great water pressure and there was always plenty of hot water.
Location of the hotel was also great, just a five minute walk to Plaza Catalunya and the top of the Ramblas, or about 3 minutes to Plaza Universitat with the metro station and many restaurants.
Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
