The building is a very mordern block built in the 1970's and it is very imposing, though not classically beautiful. The large lobby is very grand and traditional with dark wood panelled walls, dark brown leather chairs and plenty of plants. |

The Bristol-Home away from home
While on a temporary assignment for my company, the Bristol served as home for 5 weeks until we got an apartment. As memory serves me, this was once a 4 star hotel. The staff was very attentive and polite. Housekeeping was efficient. My favorite memory of our stay there was the food (from breakfast to dinner) which was delicious. I was never much of a coffee drinker but the coffee that was served every morning made me a convert. Though the dinners were a bit on the high side, the meal itself made you forget about the cost. I made a few friends while staying there (Mr. Goerker and Qasam) as well as Volker who worked the front desk. By the way, most of the staff that we dealt with spoke excellent English so communications were never a problem. All in all I would say that if you need a nice place to stay while touring the Bonn/Koln area , the Bristol will satisfy you.
