"Nice winter time"
It was a very nice stay during the winter time.A lot of good food, but the only one problem is the access to the beach, there's no beach at all, just rocks. Sandy beach is about 2km from the hotel. But all the rest is just very goooood.

"Excellent hotel"
We stayed at this hotel January/February for the third time. It seems to be an excellent hotel from all aspects. The room we had was a junior suite (we were lucky!) and whilst it did not get the sun on the balcony, when you've been down by the pool most of the day, are glad for some shade. The standard rooms have patio windows with sea/pool view - although you have to pay extra for the view unless very lucky! For older guests there is the piano bar each night which seems very pleasant. We noticed this time that the price of drinks from the bar in the hotel were no dearer than bars outside so handy for a nightcap! It is also possible to hire an empty mini bar which we did (of course at an extra cost!) which keeps your drinks cold in your room. There is evening entertainment on each evening though we didn't stay in for this.
A choice of excellent bars in the area - suggest you try Harry's Bar overlooking the musical fountains. The hotel restaurant serves just about every type of food under the sun and generally the standard is high.
It's true the small pool does have some tiles missing, but it didn't cause us any problems. The cold water pool is wonderful! Direct access onto the beach is handy. If staying at Conquistador on half board as we did and want to try a meal out, it is possible to have lunch instead of the evening meal. If doing this, suggest trying Atlantico restaurant in shopping area Santiago Park (IV I think!) they do wonderful steaks in pepper sauce!
It makes for a very relaxing holiday and plan to return in May for a short week.
