EXCELLENT HOTEL We found this hotel very comfortable with friendly staff. The room was very clean although small but the bathroom more than made up for it with the best power shower. The cava on arrival was a nice touch and the breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. The hotel itself is just around the corner from the cathedral and about five minutes from la ramblas. We would recommend this hotel to everyone and would definitely stay again.

"Excellent Hotel" We stayed in the Montecado and can reccommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable professionally run hotel in the centre of Barcelona. Sure the room was a little small but that aside there was nothing negative whatsoever to say about the Montecado. The jacuzzi is a splendid touch and was the perfect end to a day strolling the Ramblas and shopping. Breakfasts were excellent - the bathrooms are excellent and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The room safe was very handy - you set the combination yourself so no need to carry an extra key with you.

"Best European hotel I have stayed in" Booked this hotel for our honeymoon and we were not disappointed. The hotel was very clean and perfectly located to see Barcelona. Staff helpful, breakfasts lovely and bar prices reasonable.

"Wonderful hotel" We were in Barcelona Hotel Montcada for 4 days/nights and everything was fantastic from the service to the food to the hotel roof!!

"great hotel, great location" Stayed in H10 Montcada for 6 nights. The room was of a good size for a twin room. The staff on reception were very friendly and always smiling. The room was very clean. The breakfast was excellent. The safe in the bedroom came in very handy and you could set your own code. The room also had a mini-bar. The hotel is in an ideal location, only a short walk to Las Ramblas and the beach. And then there was the Bank Holiday Festival !!!! It was fantastic - the atmoshpere was great. If i was to go back to Barcelona again I would most definately stay in this hotel.

"Excellent hotel for a long weekend" We were slightly worried before arrival having read about the size of the rooms and the noise. Yes, the rooms are small but you are hardly in them at all (too much going on in the City to be stuck inside). We were were in room 302 and our friends in 205 - both rooms were exceptionally clean and the power showers are brilliant. The view from the rooftop terrace is an added bonus - we have some great photos of the sunrise. The breakfast buffet is excellent - tons of choice - eat as much as you want. We found we didn't need lunch as we were still so full! The staff were very helpful and we were able to leave our luggage in a secure area as we were returning on a late evening flight. The location is perfect - within walking distance of many of the main attractions. Yes it is noisy - but it is a City! As in a lot of major cities, crime is a problem (although on this occasion we didn't see anything) - my friend and I left our handbags at home - this meant no worries about security when we went out! To summarise - the hotel was better than we had expected and we had a great weekend. Buy a ticket for the Tourist Bus to get the most from the city and enjoy the breakfast buffet!
