"Good stay"
Stayed at the hotel during our honeymoon in 2004. We enjoyed the stay. Staff very friendly, inclusive food and drinks good. Had a slight problem with the hotel, but management was quick to resolve it. Since I grew up there, I know my place around town and out of the city area. I recommend for first time travelers to check travel excursions that the hotel promotes. Also tip the staff with their currency, $100 pesos good enough each.

"Excellent stay"
We stayed here two nights at the conclusion of a week of doing volunteer work in the western part of the country. My experience was very pleasant. The check-in process was somewhat long, but I didn't really have anywhere else to go. This is a VERY large resort, and it was pretty full when we were there. In spite of that, services were smooth, and our stay was quite satisfactory. There are five restraunts to choose from - the Italian place took forever and the food was not worth the wait, but the Mexican place was very good with virtually no wait. Don't wander out into Boca Chica alone unless you want to be continually propositioned by pimps. The resort does an admirable job keeping undesirable types out. I would have no problem returning to this resort.

"fantastic place"
We were pleasantly surprised at the beauty of this place, the beach and the water are breat taking. The resort itself was so clean and beautiful, the food was pretty good about a 4 outa 5, the waiter in the mexican restaurant (forget his name) we had him on two separate occassions he was outstanding, polite, funny & sincere, it's people like this that make your trip memorable....The chocolate friends, were indeed friendly, and did just the right amount of activities for my liking. I loved doing the water aerobics in the ocean, makes excercising tolerable. Our room, very spacoius & clean, maybe a paint-job wouldn't hurt. And let's not forget the unbelievable weather, hot & sunny , no rain....A perfect week. Oh yah I hardly saw any bugs, a couple of mosquitos on night. But not one in our room. Anyway, my husband and I loved this place to death, and will definatly return soon.
