The hotel is set in a beautiful Grade II listed Georgian townhouse, with its own rich history, in the market town of Harpenden. It was previously used as a 'school for young ladies' and was subsequently both a private house and a convent for the Dominican Sisters. Operating as a hotel since 1970, it retains many original period features, such as the large 18th century fireplace in the lounge. Renovated in 2008, it now comprises a total of 76 accommodation units. The majority of bedrooms and meeting rooms are situated adjacent to the main building, in the garden courtyard and Hertfordshire wing. Facilities on offer at this air-conditioned property include a lobby with 24-hour reception and check out, a hotel safe, a cloakroom, a café, a bar and a restaurant.
