LOCATION

Runaway Bay, where the Hedonism III is situated, is set on 6 hectares (15 acres) of garden on the North Coast’s Runaway Bay; it is 29 km (18 miles) west of the town of Ocho Rios.

PROPERTY AMENITIES

* Tropical Terrace - Open-air restaurant under high bleached-wood ceiling. Breakfast, lunch, dinner buffets. Stage for lunchtime and dinner entertainment such as fashion shows, cabaret performers, battle-of-the-sexes game. Midnight buffet also served.

* Munasan - Air-conditioned Japanese restaurant with four eight-person teppanyaki tables. Wood floor. Minimalist Japanese decor. Open six nights weekly for dinner. Reservations required.

* Pastafari - Air-conditioned restaurant with fabric walls, floral booths and banquettes serving Italian à la carte menu for dinner. Reservations required. Open five nights weekly. No reservations required for late-night pizza and pasta service.

* Reggae Cafe- Open-air oceanfront spot serving traditional Jamaican specialties such as akee and saltfish, plus daily specials such as jerk chicken. Burgers and hot dogs also available. Open daily from late morning to late evening for casual dining. Popular for its sunset views.

* A lagoon-style main pool contains a swim-up bar section with an artificial-turf pool table, a volleyball net, and a semi-circular jetted section for 16 people. The pool meanders past a two-story stone tower topped by a six-person spa tub with a see-through bottom and ends near a 31-meter-long (200-foot) four-story spiral water slide featuring a transparent section in the resort's disco.

* Water sports include sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, water skiing, snorkeling, and scuba diving excursions (scuba resort course or full certification required). An on-site dive shop offers scuba diving resort courses and full certification courses. Guests can use two lighted tennis courts.

* Day and night activities include dance lessons, toga parties, entertainment nightly on an open-air stage, and an all-night disco with a water slide running through it. An entertainment center contains table tennis and pool tables, board games, and a large-screen television.

ROOM AMENITIES

* The resort offers 210 guestrooms and 15 suites in nine, three-story (no elevators) white buildings. All are air-conditioned and feature tiled floors, mirrored ceilings, TVs with VCRs, CD players, in-room safes, coffee/tea makers, irons and ironing boards. Bathrooms have jetted tubs, showers, and hair dryers.

* Rooms include sitting areas with overstuffed love seats and coffee tables.
