Heritage Av Liberdade is a small Luxury Boutique hotel in the historic center of Lisbon.

Located at Lisbon's main avenue - Avenida da Liberdade - this 18th Century Townhouse is decorated by the Portuguese architect Miguel Câncio Martins. Heritage Av Liberdade was the winner of the Real State Prize 2008 and was also listed in the Condé Nast Traveler Hot List 2007.

LOCATION

The Heritage Av Liberdade Hotel is the new project of Hoteis Heritage Lisbon's latest project and is located on the Avenida da Liberdade, in the historic centre of Lisbon. Its design combines the city's own traditions and lifestyle with the most modern technology.

"A charming little hotel"
We just came back from a few days in sunny Lisbon for New year's Eve. Hotel heritage is a charming little "boutique hotel", very well located in the center of the old town and right in the middle between Alfama and Bairro Alto, two of the most lively and interesting neighbourhoods. From the hotel, you can easily walk there or to the seafront. The metro station is 2 minutes from the hotel and trams also stop nearby, although Rossio train station is currently closed for refurbishment (so you must go a little farther to catch a train to Sintra or Cascais). The hotel is a very tasteful restoration of an old 6 floor-building, with a modern twist: (small) plasma screen with DVD, huge bathroom, comfy bed, wifi everywhere, and a small pool and gym. It's perfect for a romantic getaway, and also great for a trip with friends as you can annex the nice and cosy lounge downstairs for breakfast until noon! Staff is very helpful and full of local information. I wouldn't recommend the (poor) room service though. The more spacious rooms are on the mezzanine level but they're quite noisy because of a ringing redlight just below. If you're looking for calm, ask for a corner room at a higher level (we were in n°25 - huge bathroom), as they are slightly smaller but also more quiet and very bright. The city itself is charming, especially when it's 20° outside in December! Lots of beautiful buildings and churches to visit, and lots of "pastelarias" to stop by! Nightlife is great, with very nice restaurants and cocktail bars everywhere. If you have time and want to leave the city, don't miss the trip to beautiful Sintra: it's a real journey to Wonderland.

"The best boutique hotel I've ever stayed! Highly recommended!!!"
I've just returned from a long weekend at the Heritage Av. Liberdade in Lisbon. This is the best boutique hotel I have ever stayed, I highly recomend for many reasons: the hotel is brand new, opened in June2006, the rooms are immaculate, beautiful and VERY comfortable. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help with great recommendations of restaurants, sightseeing, etc. There is a small pool in the basement, the breakfast is delicious and the location is very central. The air-conditioning, DVD player, wireless internet, flat-screen TV, bathroom toiletries... everything was so good and from the highest quality you would expect. I went with another 3 friends and we all LOVED the hotel. I wish all hotels were like this one. This is a boutique hotel with a very warm and welcome feel, I wish I could live there!!!

"Lovely Hotel"
We went to Lisbon in August 2006. The hotel is really lovely. Very centrally located and beautifully decorated and restored to its former grandeur. The staff were very helpfully and friendly. The breakfast was lovely, especially the cakes! We would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again if visiting Lisdon in the future.
