LOCATION
Hidden Valley Resort is centrally located and minutes away from many surrounding attractions including Muskoka Snowmobile region, Nature Trails, Skeleton Lake Fish Hatchery Park, and Hidden Valley Ski Hill, the resort boasts a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities for the whole family.
During the spring and summer months, guests can enjoy tennis, volleyball, horseshoes, hiking, fishing and swimming in the indoor/outdoor pool, as well as numerous water-sports. Golf courses, horse-riding and mountain biking are all available nearby.

"Good value"
Now a Holiday Inn, located on the lake. Choose a "Highland" lakeview room on the upper floor. Good restaurant Movenpick. A good value vs. other resort hotels in Huntsville. Rooms are small and most seem to be recently rennovated since the change from Best Western to Holiday Inn. |

"we loved it"
stayed for 3 nights July 05. location is just outside town of huntsville which is worth a visit and has good shops/pubs etc.
Hotel has 2 pools one indoor. Good restuarant with an outdoor sun deck. Best bit though its only 100m from Lake Peninsular shore. It has a little beach, the lake is good for safe paddling and the water warm. There are also boats/canoes to use for FREE! Rooms are good size, decor OK, worth paying extra $20 pn for a lake view. All rooms also have free wireless internet access so i am writing this on my laptop whilst sitting on the rooms balcony!
in summary a good place for families with toddlers or those that want a good base to chill and be near the national parks. |
