The hotel is built on the site of a large department store, the "Grand Bazaar du Bon Marché" and has retained the original facades. "Fantastic!!"
Fantastic!! I am always worried when I travel about what the hotel will be like, and booking into the Hilton is always a sure bet that it will be a pleasant experience. I have to say this surpassed my expectations, especially as it is seriously under rated as a 4 star hotel. The location is great and the staff are so friendly. Total luxury.
We stayed on the 5th floor in an executive delux suite and benefited from using the club room which served breakfast, snacks during the day and high tea!! all included in the price of the room! I understand that the Hilton is being refurbished and the 5th floor had been completed so I am not sure about the other floors. lovely room, spacious and clean. Lovely bathroom which is a must when you are staying away.
If ever I return to Antwerp I will only stay at the Hilton! and belive me I have tried one of the other 4 stars hotels in Antwerp and it was a poor relative to the Hilton.
Do not hesitate to book this hotel - it may not be the best hotel you will stay in but it does not disappoint!

"Luxury in the heart of Antwerp"
The Hilton is in an excellent location in the heart of Antwerp. We stayed on the executive (5th) floor which is a must. All rooms on this floor have access to the Club Room which is excellent. We had breakfast here every day which was good. Light snacks are put out during the day and drinks are always availiable at no extra charge. It was a good place to return to at the end of a busy day to sit on the terace with a cold beer. The club room became our oasis! The rooms are good-typically Hitlon-comfortable, but not necessariyl full of character. However, there is no doubt that this top quality hotel delivers good service and we had a pleasant stay

"Excellent stay"
Perfect check in and room ready early in the day. And wow what are these rooms large compared to other hotels. I had a room facing the bank behind to hotel so the view was the only minor point of our stay. But who cares I was not in Antwerp to stare out of the window all day. Seperate shower which is almost unique in 5 star hotels is finely realised in this hotel. Great water pressure and the bathroom again quite large. Ofcourse the location cannot be beat as well and absolutely loved the shrimp croquettes and asparagus on the terrras. Also on sunday morning had roomservice breakfast instead fighting around the mornign bufet. Hot food and all well presented. What shall I say do not look any further. This is the place to be for a great stay and excellent food & beverage. A taste of Belgium starts here.
