"Recommended"
Actually I haver stayed there only once for just one night (late check-in and early check-out!) so I can't write a lenghty review on the place. Everything was perfect -- I even got upgraded to the executive floor for free. Location is good and about 20 minutes from the airport if no heavy traffic.
There are many superb hotels in Beijing and this is one of them |

"Construction almost done"
We were there for a week starting Aug 15. Construction is almost complete. Lobby is beautiful and we saw three ladies singing and playing Chinese instruments in the evening in the lobby. Very lilting music.
The 25th floor was not ready yet. But there was no construction noise. We stayed on the 24 floor, an Executive floor. The free breakfast was great. They had made-to-order omelets and lots of variety. The evening snacks and free drinks were also good. I used to take the children by cabs* (called taxi there) to the Imperial Palace, Heavenly Temple and other tourist spots. At no time were we cheated by the taxis. The hotel is almost complete. The restaurants were all open and as vegetarians they went the extra step to make sure that we all had something different to eat. Wonderful and will recommend to any body going to Beijing. The "tea-pourer"(no other name for him) was amazing. He used to pour tea as a contortionist!! :-) Watching him was a lot of fun.
Walking distance to the Lufthansa Center which is a shopping mall and also has restaurants. Varieties of teas are kept in glass jars. The whole thing was an experience. Everybody speaks English and with polite hand gestures almost every question gets answered. I used to write out my questions to be answered.
Recommend highly

"Great Staff, Good Food, Wonderful Atmosphere"
We stayed here in September 2006 with a tour group. The staff was excellent and worked very hard at trying to get everything right. The food was outstanding. Our group had two dinners there and the buffet breakfast - all very good. I learned the hotel was recently renovated, and it showed! It is not close to the center of the city, so may not be ideal location wise, but it was worth it!
